"Your Majesty, why am I so different than the other SeaWings?" The small dragonet asked.
This was the question she repeatedly asked every night, since the day she could talk.
Tsunami never had a clear answer.
"That's just like asking someone why they're born. You're different because you're special, and not the normal kind of special that everyone gets called; you're special in your own, well, special way." Tsunami said to the young dragon.
"Do you remember when you were presented to the Kingdom of the Sea?"
The dragonet nodded.
"Did you see? No one scowled, no one grumbled; they were all excited that a new heir has come."
Tsunami shuddered at the thought of the throne. Anemone and Auklet would've been next in line, but the two SeaWings would be too busy with the hatchery to run a kingdom. Which left the SeaWing kingdom with no heir to game throne.
The many months of extreme labor and care taking of the odd egg had proven to be worth it. Since then, the dragonets of destiny have been visiting each other more often to see the adopted heir.
"But why are my scales a different color than everyone else's, and why is my tail long and thin? Why do I have four wings while everyone else has two?" The dragonet asked.
"There are some things even I don't know...but think of these traits of yours as a blessing, and not a curse."
Tsunami said in her calmest voice,
"There will be a time and a place you find out, and when you do, tell everyone."The little dragonet's mismatched eyes glimmered with hope.
"Your time will come, Kaiko."
