Sometimes love can be more powerful than anything, but the memories you share cannot alter anything. One morning you wake up and see the one person that you could love forever, and you think that nothing could ever change your love for that person, what if one day you wake up and can't remember anything about that one person... what if your whole life changes in one single second.

Brooke Davis, popular high school student, captain of the cheer squad, student body president, and girlfriend of basketball star Lucas Scott. She had it all, loved her life. She was happy and loved the friends that she had. She would never complain. This is the story about how Brooke Davis life changed.. in one single second.

"Hey! So I'm throwing a party tonight, it's at the beach house." Brooke's best friend Nathan said to her.

"Will Peyton be there?" Brooke said snobby.

"Don't you think it's time to stop fighting with her?"

"Nathan, she lied to me twice, about the exact same thing. She hasn't even talked to me about it."
Nathan sighed "Yes, everyone is coming just please decide to come okay?"

Nathan walked away before Brooke could reply. "What was that about?" Lucas asked Brooke coming up to her.

"A party tonight, that Peyton will be at." Brooke said, making Lucas chuckle.
"Oh come on, forget about Peyton, the party might be fun, just come with me and I promise you will have a good time!" He said grabbing her hands.

"Fine, I have class now." She kissed his cheek and walked off to her next class.

After school, Brooke went back to her house and got ready for the party, Lucas would be picking her up and they would go to the party together. He walked into her room and knocked "You ready?"

"Just about." She said grabbing her shoes.
They went into the car and drove to the beach house, which was about 20 minutes from the city. Lucas stopped at the red light and stared at Brooke's eyes.

She looked at him and was confused as to why he was just staring at her. "What?" She said laughing.
"I look at you and I just remember how much I love you."

Brooke unbuckled her seat belt and leaned in and kissed him. The light turned green but they weren't paying attention, they were focused on one another. Brooke heard a loud honk and looked behind her and saw a huge semi coming towards them, he was driving way to fast to stop.

"Lucas!" Brooke screamed trying to buckle her seat belt but... it was too late, they had felt the impact from the crash, Brooke flew through the window and landed on the front hood of the car. Lucas was in the car but well passed out. 5 seconds changed the both of their lives, and this is how.
