Josie had gotten into a fight with Lizzie, when she caught Josie and Penelope making out at the old mill. Lizzie was frustrated and she certainly made sure Josie knew about it.

"Out of everyone, you just had to make out with the only friend I have at this lame school? Penelope is like my only friend here!"

Lizzie shouted so loud that vampires didn't even need to use their vamp hearing to know what's going on.

"It was an accident. You're making a big deal out of nothing"

Josie said with blushing cheeks showing just how embarrassed she felt. But really it was because she was thinking of how amazing it felt to be with Penelope in that moment.

"We don't date each other's friends that was the deal"
The flickering lights in the room were an indication of how frustrated Lizzie was and Josie knew she had to back down before the flickering lights turn into flames.

"Dedisco"

Josie whispered calmly and suddenly the air in the room was lighter. The fuming flames inside of Lizzie had burned out, because she no longer remembered what she saw at the old mill. Josie made sure of that by spelling her to forget about it.

Lizzie went to sleep right after but Josie couldn't. There was something twisting inside of her, her mind was going places she didn't want to visit. Walking across the dark hallway the only thing accompanying her was the silence.

It was midnight and all the dorm rooms were filled by the young supernatural students, except for one room. She had almost forgotten about it but the sign on the door reminded her of who the room used to belong to.
Hope Mikaelson

It had been almost a year since Hope left for New Orleans to visit her mom and after she died Hope never came back.
Josie had heard rumors about how Hope lost her mind after her parents death but the truth is no one knew exactly what Hope was up to. She had placed a cloaking spell on her and no one was able to find her.
Josie was curious about what Hope was doing and it had bothered her for a while but she kept silent. She decided to go into her room and use something of hers to see if she can track her. It seemed hopeless considering even the strongest of witches had failed to track down Hope but she still wanted to give it a try.

As she entered Hope's room memories of her came flooding into Josie's mind. How Josie made Hope a bracelet for her 13th birthday but Lizzie didn't let Josie give it to her because Hope didn't invite Lizzie to her party. She remembered when Alyssa Chang spelled Josie to fall off the stairs when they were 14 and Hope made Alyssa's skin turn green to get revenge.

Josie grabbed a paint brush which belonged to Hope, sat down and started doing the spell. As she chanted the spell flashes of Hope were appearing in her mind. They were the happiest memories she had of Hope. The best one being Hope paining in her room, when she was younger. Josie had asked Hope to make a painting of her favorite flower. A rose . While Hope was painting Josie was watching Hope
in admiration. Hope's long red hair getting in the way of her paint, the way she would focus entirely on the painting as if the world has stopped and Josie could get lost while looking at her.

Suddenly they weren't in Hope's room anymore. Josie saw herself alone in a dark and abandoned building. She was standing on cold concrete and felt chills creeping in around her. All she could see were shadows and as she got closer she realized that the shadows were a pool of dead bodies. She was trying to escape but her body wouldn't move.

"I always knew you would be the one to find me"
A familiar voice echoed behind her. She barely found the strength to turn around and see what she had been looking for. There Hope was, standing right in front of Josie. She looked so different and Josie realized that Hope had been taken over by black magic when she saw her eyes as black as the night and the black veins around her face. Her lips so red Josie couldn't tell if it was makeup or blood. The only thing that had remained the same were her hair.

"Do you like the new look?"
Hope asked with a bewitching smile on her face as she slowly approached her. The sound of her heels echoed all over the building.

"Is this really you?" Josie could barely find the words to speak, her heart racing faster than light, she couldn't tell if it was excitement or fear that was taking over her with every step Hope took.
" Of course it is silly. Who else would it be?"

Hope got so close she could hear Josie's heartbeats.

"What happened to you"

" I found my way" Hope whispered to Josie.

"Did you kill those men?" Josie was growing concerned, she never thought she could be afraid of Hope, but she was.

"Is that really what you want to ask me after not seeing each other for a year"
Hope said while flicking her fingers and making the pool of bodies disappear.

Josie felt like something is pulling her up, everything was starting to get blurry and all she could hear were echoes

"We don't have much time" Hope said, and Josie could barely hear what she was saying. The room was spinning and before everything went completely dark, Josie heard Hope say one more thing.
"You were the hardest goodbye"
