We must have been cuddled up for quite a while because her mum opened the door. "Stacey what the hell. I thought you two weren't together anymore. My god somebody had better get me up to date. Stat." Stacey looked at me. "You tell her Stace. She deserves to know. She is your mum." "Basically. Kevs mum found out about dad but took the situation the wrong way so she didn't want him seeing me. She took his phone dumped me for him and deleted my number. He couldn't say anything because his mum threatened to make him move out of town. We both got held back today and he made us sit and talk so kevin explained." "So why are you here if your mum has said no." "My mum and dad have just split up. My mum is getting the next flight to Paris and my dad is staying to look after me and my sister. He said it's because she was trying to control us all and live our lives for us." Stacey just cuddled into my side even further. "Oh I'm sorry kev. I didn't realise that's why." "Not a problem. It's what I expected to be honest. She was being horrible to me lately anyway." Diane gave me a hug and I smiled. "So. Can I still date your daughter." "Course you can. I've never seen her as happy. I'll leave you two for a bit then and let you catch up." She walked out and stacey smiled at me. "Thank you." "For what baby." "Everything. She's right. I haven't been as happy since I can't remember when. That's all down to you. I love you." "I love you too princess. This weekend. How about you stay over at mine. Joannes at her boyfriends and my dad will be working most of the day and he goes to sleep early." "Are you sure?" "Definitely." "Ok then. Can you stay a bit longer though." "Baby I'll stay with you as long as you want." She curled up in my arms and I just kissed her head. Soon after I heard soft snores and knew she was asleep. Diane knocked on the door and looked round and smiled at me. "If you are needing to go kev I'll tell her where you've gone." "Nah it's fine. She's my one priority at the minute." Diane smiled and closed the door. I laid Stacey down on the bed and she started waking up. "Kev?" "I'm here princess. Just give me a minute." She nodded and I laid down next to her and she laid on my chest. "I missed you." "Missed you two baby."
