During the late 1930s to the the mid 1940s, the world was faced with a conflict the likes of which had never been seen or fathomed by mankind before. The fate of billions of humans beings was dependant on the outcome, but fortunately the Nazi Regime...

Nationalgarde 29th Precinct Headquarters, Neu Berlin, Amerika
Flesicher slammed her locker shut, then foused on securing her combat gear. She swiftly tightened the straps on her ceramic plate ballistic vest, adjusted the jet-black combat helmet that sat upon her head, and fastened her gloves. Everything had been moving so quickly...and quite frankly, Fleischer was sure that her mind was still stuck in that cell that she had liberated Steven from. Not only had she been absent from work for several days...but she showed up late today. If the Nationalgarde hadn't been too busy conducting a city-wide manhunt, she might've received a demotion and maybe even a visit from the Gestapo.
Moving like she had a purpose, Fleischer proceeded into the armoury in the next room. Inside were other Reich Nationalgarde personnel selecting their equipment before deployment. The Nationalgarde was a paramilitary force that inserted itself neatly between law enforcement and the army. They were who the police called for heavy-duty responses if terrorists were needed to be dealt with; basically any high-risk battle operations. The Nationalgarde, as their name suggests, focused on defending Nazi-governed states as opposed to the foreign operations of the army.
Fleischer instantly gravitated to a weapons rack that was lined with her weapon of choice, the StG91 MAGSturmgewehr. Tracing its lineage back to the StG 44 Sturmgewehr that was first deployed in World War II, this model was a magnetic accelerator weapon like most Reich firearms of modernity. Instead of using a gunpowder combustion system to propel its bullets, the barrel of the assault rifle was lined with magnetic coils that would sequentially propel the bullet. Built with a selector switch that allowed the user to choose between full-auto, three-round burst, or semi-auto firing modes, the MAGStG was suitable for many types of encounters. However, as with all magnetic firearms, its wielder had to manage both ammunition and batteries for the weapon. After all, the electromagnets in its barrel weren't powered by magic.
Several attachment rails affixed to the weapon made it highly adaptable to a plethora of scenarios. Fleischer liked to mount a holographic sight to its topside rail for medium-range accuracy, and an underbarrel shotgun to its lower brace for close quarters combat. The underbarrel shotgun saved Fleischer from having to switch to a shotgun whenever she needed to, since it was a downsized version of the close-range weapon attached directly to her StG. It did not perform as well as a full-size shotgun, but the convenience was far worth the sacrifice in Fleischer's opinion.
As she lifted an StG from the rack and started to affix her preferred attachments to it, she saw an approaching figure in the corner of her eye. "Mein Gott. You picked a hell of a time to come back." A crisp, smooth voice greeted her.
She didn't look up from her rifle. "What do you want?" She asked bluntly.
Corporal Rudolph Heinz had been a 'friend' of Fleischer's since basic training. And by 'friend', she meant that he constantly hovered around and subjected her to overly zealous attempts at humour. This time was no different.
