Reich American Territories Parliamentary Building, Neu Jersey, Amerika
If Fleischer had learned one undeniable fact during her life as a Nazi subject, it was that the Nazis loved their extravagant parties. The local Parliamentary Building's lobby was already incredibly ornate without the additional decorations and food tables strewn about with precise calculation. A massive golden chandelier hung above the bustling crowd, its curvatures and curls swirling about in the air like a nest of frozen snakes.
Below this stunning piece of décor was a who's who of Nazi-Amerika leadership. Governors, governesses, military leaders, industrial managers, and grimy politicians painted the broad landscape of the chamber. Fleischer was only interested in one person in particular though, and they had yet to make their appearance.
"Report, Corporal." Castiglione's stern voice commanded through Fleischer's earpiece.
She made a few more visual sweeps of the lobby before replying, "Clear, sir. Nothing out of the ordinary."
Fleischer rolled her shoulders back and forth, readjusting the combat gear that was strapped to her frame. Officially, she was here on Nationalgarde duty to provide security for the broth of important people there. Unofficially, she was there to find some kind of dirt on potential recruits for the insurrection. These parties were a great way for Fleischer to meet all kinds of people, maybe even some who could become informants for the right price. One such person was an enigmatic contact that Fleischer and Janet knew only as '8'. It was thanks to him that they weren't already dead. Fleischer's job tonight was to make contact with 8 and retrieve his intel.
"Stay sharp." The war veteran snapped.
Fleischer smirked. "This is a party, Captain. You should relax a little."
"I'll relax when I'm dead." Castiglione remarked.
"Come on, Frank. Look around, I know I am." Fleischer muttered, stalking the perimeter of the chamber as she watched the endless conversations. "Heaps of young men and women here. Maybe you should wet your whistle, get that stick out of your ass."
A dry chuckle came through the comm. "I'm a married man. I have kids. Got everything I need."
Fleischer kept strolling through the gigantic lobby, eyes leaping from one face to the next. "Gottverdamt...you're going to make me vomit."
"What's wrong with settling down and starting a family?"
"Not for me." Fleischer said as she shook her head. "I have trouble sticking to one person for a single night, let alone forever."
Castiglione huffed. "Oh. You're one of...them." He said in jest.
"Were you just about to call me a whore?" Fleischer chuckled.
