The vengeful emperor

"Tell me more about the vengeful emperor" my voice was muffled as I was eating an apple which I grabbed from the kitchen before storming out of the palace, I was wearing a veil which made it easier for me to eat, masks just won't give me the pleasure of doing so.

The guards patrolling near my favorite view point were all gathered around while listening to Adam telling us stories. He's one of my generals now, vowed to protect me, besides, I spent my time training him hard for five years that he has become better than anyone else in the empire, except for my father's general, Vincentious Rivera, who stayed with me as I grew up. It is a shame that he's always staying at the outside borders and barely came to see me anymore.

"He is the most powerful emperor the world has ever known, as everyone knows, his empire is the widest and most powerful on earth, ruling over the whole demon realm and rumored, the heir of the ancestral God" Adam said. While the other guards were very attentive to the environment or how the story unfolds.

"Every creature that I've met has told me that he looks ugly" one of the guards commented.

"Maybe he's ugly and looks old," another guard said while others laughed. 

I ignored them and kept nibbling my apple. I am more invested in the story than in their jokes.

"I've met him and he looks like a true god that he is, his features are one of a kind, and ugly is not definitely not the word to describe him, not even beautiful," Adam exclaimed in certainty.
"He came here when you were born, your majesty, even at your coronation day, but I think you never noticed" he looked at me and smiled

"Really?" It did not surprise me when I didn't notice people at the throne hall, I was too preoccupied to have done so. 

"Yes your majesty, I heard also that he's your parent's godson,"

I furrowed in curiosity. I never knew that they had a godson. I wonder why my parents never told me. "So how is he called a vengeful emperor now?" I asked again. Now becoming more and more curious about this emperor that I never met.

"His father, the ancestral God sacrificed himself for humans on the chaos,"

"Humans who didn't prove alliance to him were all dead" one of the guards sitting with us said.

"Yes, and the one who obliterated humankind was him, the Vengeful king,"

Then all our ears were ready to be drawn into the story which gets more and more interesting.

"Prince Seven Strauss was a good leader at a young age, blessed with power and strength. He was adored by many, and people knew that his dream as a young man was to unite humans and supernatural beings like us, but that dream changed when wars in the human realm came, and his father had to sacrifice himself for peace," He took a pause and sipped water before he continued.

"Someone told me that a human king stabbed him with the God-killer sword,"

"Humans have gone weak, most of them died during the battle, all those who were left were turned to werewolves. He has done a fearful deed. But he did it to secure the future the all realms. Humans have fallen to sins and destroyed the waters and forests, committed adultery, killed the innocent, wars came over wars until every human suffered from poverty, if I were all of the living beings on earth, then I'll look up to him,"

"Out of hatred, the prince, then crowned as the emperor of the Straussian empire ordered his army to war against humans, humans were powerless,"

"During his long reign, cities filled with skyscrapers remained stagnant and trees were grown, animals were set free from the zoos and everyone lived in peace, although some of the advanced technology that the humans left were kept by the humans that were turned into werewolves during the war, everything else settled, but years passed, some of the wizard kingdoms envied him, challenged him for his throne,"
