Chpt 8: Reveal

Adrien had been up most of the night, contemplating whether or not he loved Marinette or Ladybug. He wanted to talk to Ladybug, but it would be a little awkward. He sighed staring at the ceiling, falling asleep slowly.

A loud knock wake Adrien up. He knew it was Natalie. He slumped out of bed to his bathroom. He got ready quickly and did his normal everyday routine. Now he's off to school.

He grabbed his phone and sighed. No messages...maybe I could just text her.

💬Hey LB -ChatNoir

He sighed.

Arriving at school, he couldn't help himself but look for Marinette. Last night was amazing. For the first time in a while he felt normal around someone. As if he could be himself. And that was all Marinette. She was no where to be seen, but he knew he'd see her at lunch. He looked down at his phone once again.

💬Hey Kitty -Ladybug

💬How are you? -ChatNoir

💬Right now I'm late to school, can I talk to you more a little later? -Ladybug

He laughed to himself.

💬Yeah -ChatNoir

He turned his phone off and sighed, sulking down. He isn't dating either one of them, but this felt like cheating. He was really starting to like Marinette, but he's been friends with Ladybug for a while now. He just felt guilty.

*time skip to lunch because I'm lazy*

Marinette walked into the cafeteria to meet up with her friends. She walked slow, there's a lot on her mind. Am I falling for Adrien? Something she'd been asking since he left last night. She got to the table and her heart sped. There he is. She sucked in a breath.

"Hey." She waved shyly to the group.

"Hey." Adrien said back shy. The other two just looked at how awkward they were.

"What's wrong with you two?" Nino asked bluntly. The two blushed. Alya hit him in the arm and he winced. "Ow." He grimaced. Neither of them answered his question. They spent lunch pretty much quiet. Both Marinette and Adrien would try to sneak looks to the other, but were caught by the other looking. They would shy and blush.

Is this how it's going to be? They both thought.

By the time the last period of the day came the two of them have had the thought of the other in their head all day. When Marinette walked into the class Adrien became a blushing mess.

"Adriekins~" Chloè sung, standing in front of Adrien, when he could no longer see Marinette.

"What is it Chloè?" He watched his tone, to try not being rude.

"I had so much fun dancing with you last night." She said, "I hope we can do it again." She smiled leaning in. Adrien leaned and took a step back.

"Actually Chloè, I don't think so." He told her. She scoffed.

"Did that Maritrash corrupt you?"

"Don't talk about her like that!" He said a little too loud. Marinette and the rest of the class turned to look at the scene. Chloè hummed disapproving and stomped off. Adrien sighed and left his seat to the row in front of him. "H-hey, Marinette." He said quietly. She turned her head and flushed.

"H-hey." She squeaked. It's so cute. "Thank you."

"Don't thank me, she shouldn't be able to talk about people like that. Especially when that person is you." He said starting to get a little riled up.

"Especially when it's me?" She asked.

"Marinette you are an amazing person, she can't do that." He said. She smiled warmly and leaned in to give him a small hug. He dropped his head on her shoulder. They released and looked at each other with a flush on their cheeks. He returned to his desk as class started. He couldn't help but keep his eyes on the back of her head. He watched at she got her phone out. His phone flashed.

💬Hey, Kitty, how are you? -Ladybug

That's odd. He thought. Could it just be a coincidence?

💬Hey bugaboo -ChatNoir
💬I'm really good -ChatNoir

💬What's got you so good? -Ladybug

💬Heh, this girl I've started to like... -ChatNoir

💬That's great, Chat! I'm happy for you :) -Ladybug

💬You're not upset? -ChatNoir

💬No Kitty, I'm happy for you. Actually there's this guy that I've really started liking. -Ladybug

💬I'm happy for you, LB -ChatNoir
💬So what's this guy like? XD -ChatNoir

Adrien watched at Marinette started to type. He couldn't see what or who she was texting but was almost too much of a coincidence.

💬I mean he's very good looking, but I like that he's smart, he's very kind, he's goofy, and he's there for me.. -Ladybug
💬What about your girl? -Ladybug

💬Oh she's so creative, she's smart, beautiful, passionate, so kind, and I can't get her out of my head.. -ChatNoir

Class ended and Adrien was determined to confront her. He just wanted to know. Could he be that lucky. "Hey Marinette." He called after her. She turned around and they met in the middle of where they were.

"Hm?"

"Can I ask you a question?" He asked, she nodded. "So I have this friend online, we've been good friends for some time now." She nodded along, listening to him, "I w-wanted to know.." he stuttered. "if she's you?" He asked. Her eyes widened, and she blushed.

"C-chat?" She asked. His eyes widened and he nodded slowly. They were in the school hallway but they didn't care. It was only them in the world at that moment.

"Ladybug?" She nodded. She jumped up and hugged him around his neck and he held her by her waist.

"How did you know?"

"Well I guessed mostly, but it just lined up. Always being late, some of your classes, little things." He explained. She nodded. "Can I walk you home?" He asked, and she nodded again. She hadn't said much. She seemed lost in thought. And that made him nervous.

When they arrived to her house, she was still lost in thought.

"Are you disappointed?" He asked sad, "That Chat is me, well that I'm Chat?

"What? Of course not. It's just- the person I was talking, that I like...it's you.." she said shyly. He smiled, bringing his hand up to raise her face so their eyes could meet.

"I like you too, Marinette." He said sweetly. "I was talking about you. And I meant every word." He said genuinely. She smiled. There were tears on the brim of her eyes. Adrien couldn't help himself, he knelt down. Their lips centimeters from each other. They brushed, then that was it. They both crashed their lips together. It was sweet and innocent. They just held each other. Not wanting to let go. This was it. This is happiness. "I'll come and see you. Tonight. Meet me at midnight? Eiffel Tower?" He asked her she blushed and nodded. Then returned to her room where she thought or the wonderful guy she has
