Even after the romance is gone; he doesn't seem to want me anymore and I don't know why.
I am a hybrid, half human half wolf. My mate is full werewolf. We met 3 years ago, both of us are 19 years old. I am 5'6", with long blonde wavy hair and green eyes, while he is 6'3", with black military short hair with dreamy brown eyes. I fell hard for him as soon as I saw him and he says that as soon as he looked into my emerald green eyes he fell hard as well. His wolf must have been him telling him that I was his mate since he did not say anything for a few minutes after we were introduced to each other, my hand stuck out waiting for him to shake it but he didn't say or more for those minutes. As soon as he was aware that we were all waiting for him to shake my hand he did, that is when I realized that he was my mate. My true mate, soul mate as the werewolves call mates. Our wolves recognized each other and simply purred at the reason that we finally found our one.
It was all wonderful until last month.
He was my reason for moving back to my home town as he is the recent appointed alpha of the pack and was needed back home for pack meetings. So I packed all my things and he brought me back with him. We never argued as we both seemed to agree to everything that we discussed. He did not mark and mate me yet as we are still getting to know each other, his reasons not mine, as I would have had him mark and mate me as soon as we got back home. He also said that he is having problems with rogues and they would come after me if I was marked and mated him. Its been 3 years and he has never told me about any rogue problems in that time. Our relationship has been great, we spend most of our time together when he is not busy with pack business. I decided to get a part time job because I don't like to be bored, I like to stay busy and since he spends lots of time doing pack business I needed something to occupy my time with. So I got a job as an interior designer, which I had gone to school for. I now worked for a building contractor that does the whole job, he builds then I design the interior before selling property. It has been a very good job, and I enjoy it so much.
Well, last month while I was working I found out the reason why my relationship failed. My mate has decided that he wanted a last fling before he marked and mated his true mate. I found him in a very revealing situation. He had a female up against the wall and his hands were not in his pocket. She was not able to talk as they were mouth to mouth, and not in the saving of live way. It seems he did not end his previous relationship with what he called his ex as he told me.
I being who I am, turned right around and left. Went to the pack house and immediately asked some pack members to help me pack up my things. I did not have my own room as I stayed in his room with him since I came here. As I did not have that many belongings, even being here 3 years, I don't accumulate much. I left most of my belongings behind for friends when I agreed to come back here with him. I did not even leave a note behind for him. Just left a message about him being a cheater on the bathroom mirror in lipstick for him to find. Then I packed up my car with my belongings and left. I decided to go back to my prior home as I really had no really good friends here. I had not been given the title of luna yet as we had not finished the mating. Now I know the reason why. He would have to wait for me to want him for a mate now that I know. It could take a long long time before that would happen. Once my heart was ripped apart by him, it will take a long time to heal and maybe someday I will become his mate, but not for a long time. To hell with him right now.
I called my boss and explained the matter with him. We had just finished up on a house and the next one cancelled just today and there was nothing on the slate for now. I told him I had to resign as well. He is also a werewolf so he totally understood. Said that he was sorry that I had to leave. He was very angry at my mate and I understood. I asked if he knew of anyone in my new location that I could work and he gave me a name and number for me to call. Another werewolf doing the same thing, at least that made me happy that I would have something to look forward to.
