Mom

I never got the opportunity to show the love I have for you ,
But  today I would like to say, a big THANKYOU
For being by my side all along, making me strong ...
The faith you have entrusted on me ,
From the day I was born ,
And never giving up on me even when I was torn...

You stayed up all night when I fell ill ,
Sacrificing your sleep and health  on me .
You encourage me in this world of rat race ,
To keep my head up and face ,
The dreadful challenges of life ,
for me to grow and strive .

I know how you felt when dad went away ,
For work to Delhi , far away !
And I know all those arguments which broke you ,
For it made you stronger and one in a few .
And all those times you tried to hide your feelings,
I could see the light in your eyes receding....

But that is what life is all about ,
It tears you apart inside -out .
This is what make it so interesting and out of control,
Where simple life issues become hyperbole.
So live your life as it's too short for sorrow ,
And breathe ,for there might not be a tomorrow.

The love I have for you is ineffable,
And I'm sorry that my display of emotions is terrible ...
But deep down I feel euphoric and warm,
Considering you my mother from whom I'm born !

Thank you for putting up with my tantrums ,
While doing so much for our family with enthusiasm.
But I would like you to be a bit transparent ,
And be honest true and apparent !
As I know something's bothering you blue,
So it's better to be true to undo.

I'm sorry if this little poem made you melancholic,
For it's difficult to write a poem on someone so symbolic!
So intimate ,so loving,so caring and so sacrificial!
I love you with all the warmth of my heart ,eternally ...
And thank you for blossoming this family especially!
It not have been possible without you in anyway
A very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY !
