The main door was opened by someone. A girl entered inside and looked around in the dark living room. All the lights were off so no one could notice her. She tiptoed toward the stairs to go upstairs to her room.
She was about to step on the stair when the lights were turned on by someone. The cut on the girl's lower lip, her swollen cheeks, the bruises on her body, the mess she was looking, none of them was shocking for the people who were looking at the girl from her head to toe.
"Again?" The man asked crossing his arms.
"Dad, the price was higher today."
"Do you have any money problem? Don't you get your pocket money?"
"No mom, you know why I do this. I can't live leaving my passion..."
"Passion of beating people?" Her father raised his voice. She sighed looking at her parents.
"Yoo JeongYeon, go to your room, right now." Her father said pointing the stairs. She nodded and went upstairs after bowing to them.
JeongYeon went in her room. She first took a quick shower then treated her own wounds. She wore her comfortable sleepwear and slammed herself on the bed but winced as her arm was hurting badly.
"That motherfucker twisted it badly." She mumbled holding her arm.
"Open the door." Someone said knocking on the door.
JeongYeon got off of the bed still holding her arm. She opened the door lazily but frowned finding her brother standing there with a tray in his hands. She opened the door wide and he entered inside. JeongYeon closed the door and went toward him who put the tray on the study table.
"What is it, Hyung?"
"Don't call me Hyung. You're a girl."
"If I were a girl, they wouldn't have thrown me in the trash." She said scoffing and opened the lid of the dish to see what it was.
"Tteokbokki?" She looked at him in surprise. He nodded smiling.
"Happy birthday, JeongYeon-ah." He said caressing her hair.
"Thank you, Seung Ho Hyung." She said smiling lowly.
"Mom said to make a cake but I denied. I know you don't like cake." He said signalling her to taste the food.
"But mom likes cake." JeongYeon said and tasted the food he had brought.
"Wait...that's why they were up till yet?" She asked in confusion.
"Yeah, we were waiting to wish you a very happy birthday." Mrs Yoo said coming inside.
"But you were busy with your passion, boxing." Her father said boringly.
"Dad, leave it right now. Let's wish her." Seung Ho said waving his hand.
"I'm tired of you guys, you know. Why do you always celebrate this day?"
"Because this is the day when we found you." Her father said raising his brows.
"And that was the best day." Her mother said caressing her cheeks.
"Someone got a very bad day." JeongYeon said chuckling with her brother.
"They were shitty people who threw you in the trash. Don't care about them." Seung Ho said hugging her from the back.
"Tomorrow morning, camping." Their father said making Seung Ho and JeongYeon look at each other.
"I have an important meeting." Seung Ho said.
"And I have a street fig..."
"Stop with that." Mrs Yoo said cutting JeongYeon's words.
"Yeah, just say that you guys don't wanna go." Their father said shaking his head.
"Dad...dad...we'll go with you but on one condition." JeongYeon said hugging his arm looking at him with her puppy eyes.
"What is it?" He asked. Seung Ho hugged his father's other arm looking at him with same expression as JeongYeon had.
"No fishing." They both said at the same time shaking him.
"Fine, fine. I won't tell you to sit with me there."
"Then count me on."
"I'm coming too." Seung Ho said.
"What about your meeting?" Their mother asked.
"Who cares about meeting?" He asked smirking making them shake their heads.
"Okay, you should sleep now." Their father said removing their hands from his arms.
"Don't forget to wash the plates." Their mother said pointing JeongYeon and left with her husband.
"You brought it and now you will wash it." JeongYeon said to her brother.
"As if this is something new to me." He said rolling his eyes and picked out something from his pocket.
"I have an extra spoon." He said and attacked on the food before JeongYeon could protest.
"Hyung..." She looked at him. He nodded stuffing his mouth.
"I have a game next week. I'm going to Gangnam." She said looking down at her food.
"So, what do you want from me?"
"Convince them." She said hugging his arm. He shook his head.
"Please, please, I will call you Oppa." She said cutely.
"That won't work." He said still shaking his head.
"Yoo Seung Ho, help me." She said frowning. He looked at her and flickered her head making her hiss in pain.
"I will not help you this time."
"Hyung, please. Just this time. Okay, I promise I won't come in your any way." She said showing her pinkey.
"What way?"
"Umm...I'll not steal your girls." She said smirking.
"I don't have any girl right now."
"In future, if you get any girl, I'll not steal her." She said with confidence.
"Promise?" He asked smirking.
"I, Yoo JeongYeon, promise my Hyung that I won't steal his girls from now on." She said and saluted him making him chuckle.
"Okay, let's finish it." He said and they went back to the eating.
"Wait, will you help me in convincing them?" She asked. He nodded.
"You're the best brother." She said showing her thumbs up feeling proud.
"So, how many people got knocked out by Yoo JeongYeon?" He asked.
"Two. First in seven punches. Second in five punches." She said showing her fists.
"That's not good. I want you to knock them out in once."
"Okay captain." She said saluting making him roll his eyes.
