"Heavy Heart"
Weeks passed and Y/N noticed that Jin wasn't visiting the cafe anymore. Him not showing up to bum you out gradually diminished the stress you're in right now but at the same time it made you feel a little wretched.
Deep down your core you want him to bother you, only to have a glimpsed of him again. His arrogance that charmed you. His innocent face that seduced you. His slender form that you always enticed to scan. You gasped thinking about it.
You held your hand close to your chest and you spot Seo-bi keeks at you. Her sharpness can easily sight if something is odd.
Brushing off that thought, you cleared your throat then focus on answering emails from clients. You and Seo-bi had been very busy lately regarding problems particularly with one of your suppliers.
"Seo-bi-ah, we need to find a new supplier for the berries, the one we had wasn't giving us their best picks lately causing our cakes to become sloppy," you said breaking off the silence.
"I am trying to find us one Y/N. I already made calls but I haven't recieve any confirmation yet. Don't worry, I will update you again tomorrow," she said assuring you while typing hastily on her laptop.
Both of you were startled when Namjoon surprisingly showed up by the door.
"Hello Ladies!," Joon greeted both of you with a smile.
You smiled back to him in response as he walk towards Seo-bi giving her a kiss.
"What's the matter? Why both of you look so taxed?," he asked, snatching Seo-bi out of her chair only to pull her again making her sit on his lap. They both giggled as they squeezed themselves together on that small office chair.
"We need to find another berry supplier, the one we had gave us their bad harvests lately," Seo-bi in pouts, comfortably seating on Joon's lap while fixing Joon's brown hair that covered his eyes.
You couldn't help yourself getting jealous just by looking at them. They looked perfectly good together. They're not afraid to show their love and affection for each other. Eventhough they had to keep their relationship in secret. You admire them both. Like Jin, you wanted to help them safeguard their relationship.You promised Seo-bi that you will protect and support her because that's what sisters do.
Now, your mom keeps on nagging you to date, but you dont want to trouble yourself again. You don't want to get engage to another trauma that comes with it. You sighed deeply then look down at your paperworks.
"This is all I got. I love you too," you whispered jokingly while holding on to a piece of paper.
"Y/N-ah!" Seo-bi interrupted you.
"Ne?," you answer her with a strained smile.
"Joon's telling us something," she said giggling.
"I remember Jin-hyung's uncle has a strawberry farm in Non-san. Maybe you guys can talk to his uncle for supplies. I'll ask Jin-Hyung for help when we get home. Seo-bi will let you know tomorrow," Namjoon stared adoringly at his tiny girlfriend sitting pretty on his lap while dabbing a lipbalm on his lips as he speak.
"Great! Thanks Joon-ssi! Now get a room you two!," you banter.
They both respond laughing.
"Speaking of Jin, I haven't seen him dropping by lately. He must've been on a lay off pestering me after I shoved him those NDA's. Dont expect that he will help us regarding the supplier thing tho Seo-bi-ssi," you said smirking.
Seo-bi took everything you've said by surprise.
"What do you mean Y/N?," she asked.
You can see Joon's face turned white. He was gesturing you silently to shut up. Seo-bi glanced at him, wondering.
"Love, I forgot to tell you about it. I'm sorry, they had a little fight weeks ago," Namjoon apologized to his girlfriend, then continue to scratched his head.
"Weeks ago? Again?," Seo-bi glared at him.
"It's okay Guys, its no biggie. I just had to give him what he wanted. See? He stopped bothering me," you said with a wanly expression on your face.
Seo-bi narrowed her eyes, observing you for a minute. She gave you a sly smile and said, "Okay, so Jin's uncle is a no-go. But are you sure you okay Y/N-ie? Would you like to talk about what happened?"
You took a glance at them then responded in a disheartened tone of voice, "I'm good, but I kinda felt bad. My heart was heavy after that." You looked down to hide the sadness on your face. The couple started to get curious.
"Aishh, it's nothing. Just let me know if you have convinced Jin if he will help us with his uncle to be our supplier," you told them. "Excuse me, I need to go to check on the staffs," you added, relieving yourself from further questions.
Before stepping out, you saw them winked at each other like they already knew something.
You heard Joon chuckling then spoke, "She probably discovered that she likes Jin-Hyung. Hahaha"
You closed the door behind them then you too wonder, you asked yourself, "Do I?"
That blatant behaviour you showed them clearly means something. You knew Seo-bi. That woman with a pretty face, who has a good grasped of anything can sense everything even just by smelling. She's no joke and you can't help but felt sorry for Namjoon just in case he try to fool around.
Besides, you are fully aware of your contingent actions regarding the talk about Jin. You just stated the obvious. Although, they didn't expect you to be more expressively-emotional this time.
You went casually exposing yourself. Actually, you just showed them how you felt, and you dont care, its you. You're Y/N-the Y/N that Jin took under his watch and the real Y/N that he wants to uncover.
You muttered, "Why am I like this?"
The flashback of your last interaction you had with Jin, the way he wanted to bridge the gap between you. He showed raw and clear emotions towards you during that time.
He gave you a clue of something that you needed to experience. It wasn't a threat, fear nor danger like you always felt from somebody who wants to get emotionally attached to you. Tout de suite, with Jin, its exquisite. Its tasteful and aggressive. Your adrenaline somehow jumped to respond to that certain emotion. It suddenly made your heart beat sounds special.
Something inside of you says its real. The truth was, it began to circle inside of you and its interesting. Its irresistible and you are strangely tempted. You know its sincere because its revolutionary. It's subversive. It is now overpowering your fixed form.
Then all of a sudden that became your turning point. You felt abruptly grateful that it happened. It seems like Jin cakewalked right to your cold heart and triumphantly opened the door you chose to closed a long time ago.
"I missed him," you spoke softly under your breath.
