Next morning i was got down for breakfast. Katie was already there and she was scrolling through her phone.
My phone rang it was Adrian.

"Hi man"

"Listen Bran i will be at your in 20 minutes we need to go that diner for job"

"Man give me 30 minutes i just got up"

"Fine fine i will be over"

The call ended. Katie looks at me like asking what was that.

"Me and Adrian trying to get work at diner" i say

"Oh good" she shrugs

Adrian and i were at diner. The manager asked few basic questions and we got the job pay was alright. We were gonna start right away.

I took my apron and started with cleaning out tables and setting chairs.Just then Aster came in, i saw her and turned around what shit move i thought to myself like she won't come to know i work here.

She works at cash counter so i don't think we would interact. But it feels good to know she is just so close. I like to always be able to see her its creepy, maybe Adrian is right it doesn't sound so creepy when i think that its because i like her and its because i have huge crush on her. Aster came from back and i turned again my back was towards her

"Brandon" that's the manager

I turn around she calls me over

I go to where she and Aster were standing

"Aster this is our new waiter and this is Aster she works at cash counter" she explained

"I know" i say

Both were a bit amused

" I mean i know Aster works here and she works at the cash counter" i said with confidence

"Ohk well let's get to work"

The work got hectic too hectic then before i knew it it was time to close down. I was clearing out the tables Adrian was leaving he was done with his work. I finished my work not long after that and went to get my thing and was about to leave when i saw Aster sitting when she saw me she smiled
I smiled back

"Meg and Katie took the car" she was almost embarrassed to say

I laughed and shook my head.Then the thought struck me. If i have feelings for her i need to get to know her atleast. And this was my chance. I gather all the courage that needed and i told her.

"Aster will it be fine if we commute together i mean it we come from same place to same place and its good for environment" i finished lamely environment really mother earth must be laughing at me.

Well Aster did.

"I like that" she replies

"Ok then let's go but you have to sit in passenger seat next to me" i say smiling

"Your car was tinted i didn't know they were not with you" she said

The conversation felt better then just looking at her from far. We got into Jeep.

"I like your car" she says

"Its a jeep come on and i like it too" i smile proudly.

" Do you always correct people when they say car" she asked i think she is mocking me

"I didn't know you were joining here" she starts

"Adrian's idea i went along its good to keep busy. What about you Meg doesn't work and you do why is that.?"
