Marina entered the kitchen to find y/n plating up all the food as if she was a chef at a Michelin star restaurant.
That's my girl

Y/n had always been a perfectionist. She was strong and independent but Marina worried. Not once in their 15 year friendship had y/ n ever mentioned liking anyone. Well except Leonardo DiCaprio but that didn't count, everyone like him.

"Hey, y/n. Need any help?" Marina asked, clearly bored out of her mind.
"I see playing blackjack must really not be a thing you enjoy for your lazy ass to come here and offer me help." Y/n laughed.

The two joked around whilst plating the steak and vegetables. They were almost ready so Marina went to go and call everyone to go to the dining room.

Y/n stood in the middle of her kitchen admiring how good everything looked.
"Pretty great, huh? Your food has always been amazing." The girl gasped at turned to look at the handsome boy who stood in the doorway. Even though he sported a simple polo and jeans he looked so good. Y/n's eyes widened and no words could come out of her mouth.

Guzmán's smile faltered. "I guess we'll never be able to have a normal conversation again, huh?"

In that moment y/n realised she had to tell him how she felt. She loved him and he made her so happy. He was always so playful and brought her out of her comfort zone which no one, not even Marina could do with such ease.

"Guzmán, I'm sorry," y/n whispered as her voice broke, "The reason I stopped talking to you was because I didn't want to hurt Marina but at that moment I didn't realise how much I would hurt you I'm so sorry." Y/n looked at Guzman helplessly and he walked up to her slowly as if he wanted to remember this moment forever. He brushed a stray hair behind her ear and held her delicate face. The two looked at each other with a look of love and longing to be in each other's arms.

There was no passion in this moment just love as they held each other.

"Y/n, gosh you don't realise how long I've wanted you to have a boyfriend!" Marina exclaimed and ran up to the couple and joined in with the hug. "You're not angry" y/n inquired, confused.
"No, not at all. In fact I'm annoyed at myself that I didn't realise how perfect you two would be together"
