Jungkook's phone rang once...twice...three times before he finally answered the phone.
Giving a soft "hello."
"Kook-ah." Came the raspy, low voice on the other line "...Kook-ah, it was horrendously awkward to ask Joon-ah."
Giving a soft chuckle. Amusement laced in his voice. "I bet, hyung. Our breakup wasn't exactly on friendly terms."
"I've heard, but Joon-ah looked confused when I asked him for your number. I'm lucky he didn't probe any deeper, and I was sure he would tell me to fuck off."
"I highly doubt that he would tell you to fuck off, Yoongi-hyung." Jungkook was shuffling around on the couch to place his laptop on his lap. Putting the phone on speaker and placing it on the coffee table. "Anyway, you guys are friends."
"I suppose you are right Kook-ah." Letting the line fall silently until Yoongi hesitantly asked, "Did--Did something happened?"
Jungkook stopped typing before he resumed with soft click clacks being heard through the phone. "What do you mean?" Jungkook slowly asked.
"Well...you ignored all my messages and then suddenly post on instagram." Hearing nothing from Jungkook's side, Yoongi continued, "I was worried."
"Just busy, I suppose."
"Busy?" Yoongi didn't buy that for an answer. "Kookie, you can tell me if something is wrong."
Jungkook gave a dry, emotionless chuckle. "Can I? Can I really trust you? Can I really tell you?"
"...of course?" Yoongi didn't mean for it to come out as a question, but Jungkook sounded wrong. Everything seemed to be going well, but now something was off and Yoongi didn't know what.
The call became silent. Yoongi can hear his heart beating rapidly and his own breath hitting the phone. "You know hyung, I really hate people like you."
"What?" Yoongi thought he heard wrong. Did Jungkook really said he hates people like him? Many emotions rushed through Yoongi, but the more prevalent one was sadness. It hurt him. Grabbing his chest as he shakily asked, "What are you talking about?"
Ignoring Yoongi completely Jungkook continued, "People who take pity on others. People who think they are top shit because they have been making it well. People who can say what they want when they want. I suppose it can't be helped. People like you who think they are doing a good deed, but it's out of sympathy."
Before Jungkook could continue his rant, Yoongi cut him off. "Jungkook, wha--what's going on?" Yoongi tried to keep his voice stable. Not wanting to let his tears fall down his chubby cheeks.
Not really acknowledging his question, Jungkook spoke in a low, dark tone. "It must be a shame to fall for a whore hyung. It truly is pathetic of you. I expected better."
"Jungkook--"
The call ended. Jungkook hung up on him. Yoongi hugging his knees. Confused. Jungkook seemed fine and then he just exploded. Yoongi didn't know how long he cried. Letting the tears flow down like a waterfall, but then there was a small ding. Blearily looking at it through puffy, red-rimmed eyes to see a message from Namjoon. Wanting to avoid his friend once more, but his phone went crazy.
Ding. Message from Hoseok.
Ding. Message from Jimin.
Ding. Message from Jin-hyung.
Ding. Message from Taehyung.
Yoongi looked thoughly confused. Knowing if he ignored them, he would definitely get and earful.
Before he could even read the messages, a message for Jungkook appeared. It seemed like it was sent a couple of hours ago.
Text Message

Yoongi immediately called Jungkook's cell. Shaky hands fumbling with his phone. Breathing becoming irregular.
