Funny thing: I was listening to Scream and Shout by Will.i.am and that's how the title came to be. But it has to do with the story I promise so please read.
Recap:
"I think I might have something to do with the disappearance of your boyfriend"
Current situation: "W-what?" I stared at this stranger sitting on my couch in my living room. Who is he? Why am I so stupid for letting in this weirdo in my house?
I kept staring at him pleading with my eyes for an answer. He looked at me and his eyes grew soft as he noticed my rigid expression. Then he made a weird face like he was trying not to laugh. That made me feel so angry I wanted to strangle him. But of course I would never do that.
Josh burst out laughing. What the actual fuck.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm sorry!" He just kept laughing. I narrowed my eyes at him but for some reason I wasn't all that angry anymore. I grabbed a pillow from the couch and threw it at max speed at him, and he looked at me in disbelief.
I smirked at him. "You so deserved that."
"I guess I did. Hey. I'm sorry for making you nervous. I didn't mean to, I thought you wouldn't believe me."
"Well I never know what to believe anymore, especially after reading all of Zach's notebook."
He looked at me and patted my back lightly. "I understand. I'm sorry. Oh, and if you want me to leave now then I get it." He looked at me and smiled lightly.
"If you have things to do, you can leave." I bluntly stated.
"Do you want me to leave?"
"Do you have things to do?"
"Hey I asked you a question first." He chuckled.
I sighed. "Fine. I do enjoy the company just a little bit, so it would be disappointing if you left." Wow you're already begging hot strangers to stay at your house? God maybe you are a hoe. The thought struck me like lightning so I quickly added, "but of course if you have things to do or you're busy then of course I'll let you leave." I stole a glance at him and he was looking right at me.
"You caught me on a rare night I'm not busy." He put one leg over the other and leaned into the couch, staring at the TV screen now.
I raised an eyebrow at him as he looked over. He cocked his head at me and pouted at me.
"You look like a little kid." He burst out laughing again and I scoffed.
"You are such a weirdo." I looked at him and blushed because of how attractive he looked. Just look at him. No bad idea. Don't look at him.
"What are you staring at?" He looked very intrigued and I didn't realize we were a few inches closer than before.
I scoffed and looked away. "You obviously."
"Oh? am I just that hot?" He dramatically bit his lip and winked at me and I quickly scooted all the way to the other side of the couch away from him and threw another pillow at him.
"No! Stop it you creep! I just think it's weird that there's a stranger sitting on my couch calling me a little kid." I crossed my arms and glared at him.
"Alright, alright fair enough." He just looked at me with an interested expression. "Also we don't have to be strangers. For one we already know each others names."
"Agreed." I looked at the clock. How did so much time pass already. 9:30 PM. "How long are you going to stay?" I rested my head on my hand and stared at him.
"However long you need me to darlin'." He looked at me back and we just looked at each other for like a solid minute. That name he called me made me feel the same way when Zach used to call me cute names. I liked it. But there's no way I was going to admit that.
I handed him a blanket (My favorite fuzzy white one) and snuggled into my own. "Will you stay until I fall asleep?"
"Course." I felt his body heat even though our bodies weren't touching. It comforted me. Soon enough I was dozing off to Gordan Ramsay yelling on the TV and the soft breathing of this intriguing person next to me.
My eyes strain as they adjust to the sun shining directly in them from the living room window. I take a few moments to adapt and then I remember what the hell happened last night. I sat up briefly and looked to my side, which was unfortunately empty. I sighed. A lot happened last night.
I stand up and walk over to my kitchen to get a glass of water and a muffin. Damn good muffins if I must say so myself. Then I noticed a piece of notebook paper sitting on the counter. It read:
"Hey darlin'. If you're reading this, Good morning. I hope you slept well last night. I had to leave early this morning to run some errands, so I'm sorry I wasn't there when you woke up. Anyway, have a great day today and I'll see you around hun :) ~Josh
I smiled. He's a strange guy. I bit my lip and smiled even more while I remembered everything that had happened last night. He is an interesting guy, and I wanna know more about him. I don't know why even. I met him once and he just knew where I lived. I did think that was strange but if I ever do meet with him again I'll make sure to ask plenty of questions.
I decided to get ready for the day and go out for a bit. I called up Becca and asked her if she wanted to go to the mall for a bit. She agreed.
For some reason I didn't want to tell her or anyone about Josh. I feel like I just wanted to keep him a little secret. Have him all to myself. That is...if I ever do see him again. I have no clue where he lives and I don't have any way to contact him. Wow, I really don't know ANYTHING about this guy except his name. WOW.
