"I'm going to the happiest place on Earth!" A young girl shouted as she made a promise to herself while trying to grab the sky with her hands.
"All I need is money." She pouted and looked at me sitting beside her.
An idea came into my mind.
I stood up and searched around. I saw a dirty plastic bottle rolling in front of us, I picked it up, wiped it with my clothes, and made a small hole in it.
She was confused about what I did and I came back to her.
"I'm going to take you to the happiest place on Earth." I made a promise to her while putting a coin in the bottle and shook it.
I saw her sweetest smile, she was surprised and filled with joy. She stood up and took some coins in her pocket and slipped it right into the bottle.
"We're going." She whispered then cried and we embraced each other.
She is Ayla. Crybaby. That's why I love her.
"Close your eyes and count 1 to 10, then run and try to find me," I instructed her while we're playing hide and seek.
"1." She starts to count while I'm trying to find a good hiding spot.
...
"8."
"9."
"10!"
She opened her eyes and traveled it around.
I took a peek and saw her running, she's having a hard time trying to find me.
She stared in my direction and paused for a second. I immediately hide back hoping that she doesn't notice me.
"Found you!" She suddenly appeared next to me and shouted. We both ended up laughing together.
Those were the good old days.
She's my best friend when we were young.
It was Sunday morning and I was sitting behind our door, waiting, smiling.
A knock broke the silence.
I hurriedly open the door and young Ayla was there wearing her sweet smile, I was not able to do anything but to pause and appreciate her.
"Good morning!" She greeted me before entering inside.
I noticed that she is holding some papers and I know what exactly it is. It made me chuckle.
