I met Windy when she was 14 years old . I remember walking up the road from just hauling a few bags of soil to a small farm house I lived on . She was sitting on the edge of the creek in a Yellow dress knees bent and arms folded across them. She didn't move . All she did was stare at the water silently . At first I wasn't going to pay her no mind , because girls like that usually ended me in big trouble and I was trying to reclaim my heart from all the sorrow they caused me . I bent the brim of my hat down to shade my face as I walked by . " It's a Sunny day today isn't it ?" I heard a soft voice say as it melted into my ears like ice cream dripping down a kids hand . I stopped and responded , " Yes why yes it is ." She looked up towards the sky and asked me , " Do you think the sun knows it grows beautiful things ?" I told her ,
" Everything that's apart of this world knows it has a purpose so im pretty sure the Sun knows that of what you ask of it." As I stood there waiting for a response she never said anything else . She just stood up to dust off her dress and walk away . I couldn't help but notice that the moist soil near the creek had dirtied that pretty Yellow dress she wore . Nor couldn't I help but notice she didn't seem to care . She walked away and never looked back so I did the same . Little did I know she'd become one of those beautiful things the sun created .
