Chapter 11

"Isn't this kid your child, Jungkook-ah? "

My heart suddenly stops when Mr. Han said those words.

My eyes widened. I looked at Mr. Han while my forehead creased.

"Look, she moved here 5 years ago that was the year you two met, right? But why did she moved here all of a sudden—It's because she got pregnant. She was hiding, Jungkook-ah. That's why we cannot find her." he stated.

I just stared at Jae Wook's photo and I feel something inside me that I cannot explain.
'Is he really my son?'

"That makes sense, Mr. Han.
But it is possible a girl can get pregnant from having sex once?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Pabo you little kid! Of course, that's what happened to me and my wife. Especially if a girl is fertile during that time, there's a huge chance that she will get pregnant." he scolded me.

"Ahhh.." I nodded and scratched my head.

He laughed at my reaction and shook his head.

"But we have to make sure about that, Kook-ah. You have to talk to her and ask her about that. We're not sure if our speculations are true or not." he said while tapping my shoulder. He always does that whenever he encouraged me. He's just like a father to me.

I smiled.

"Yes, I will definitely talk to her," I mumble.

Jungkook's POV

I am now sitting at the window side of the car, staring at Sana's house.

It's a small white house with some greens in their front yard.

I feel my heart beats so fast. I have never been this so nervous before even if I give a speech in a large event with the most powerful businessmen in the world.

This is more nerve-wracking compared to signing a million-dollar contract. This is so strange. My knees are trembling.

This is also the first time I'm going to talk to her again after 5 years.
My hands are sweating. I took a deep breath and was about to step out of the car when I saw their door opened.

It was Jae Wook smiling while running out of the door and next to him was Sana. She's smiling brightly as she called his name.
I stopped and stared at them.
Jae Wook was trying to pull her as if he wants to go somewhere. She keeps on smiling and laughing at him.
A smile formed on my lips as I watch them.

"Can you follow them? Just drive slowly." I told the driver.

They stop at the playground. He's still pulling Sana to play with him but she acted as if she doesn't to while laughing. She gave up and she carried Jae Wook and put him in the swing. She pushes the swing gently. Jae Wook is giggling showing his cute bunny teeth while holding tightly on both sides of the swing.
When they're done, Jae Wook ran to pick up a flower and put it on Sana's right ear. She smiles genuinely and hugs Jae Wook tightly while caressing his hair.
I can't stop smiling. That moment was so precious. I can watch them all day.

I feel something strange–like I have a feeling that I want to protect them, a feeling that I want to be part of their life, a feeling of happiness while seeing them.

Even if I am still not sure if Jae Wook is my son, why am I feeling these feelings?

I am so confused. I closed my eyes.

Now I'm decided to get off the car. I need to talk to her. I need to ask her and to make things clear.

I walked towards to where they are.

As I get closer to them a few meters away, our eyes met..

I smiled at her and said,

"Hi...

Sana."
