Chapter 13

Sana's POV

I'm staring at the white ceiling in my room while lying down on the bed.
I can't help thinking about what happened earlier. I can still remember the words he said after I told him that Jae Wook is not his son.

'I don't believe you. I don't think you're telling the truth, Sana. I will do everything to find the truth.' he said with a cold voice then left.

Those words send chills to my body. I suddenly feel nervous. What is he going to do?

Jungkook's POV

Why do I feel disappointed when she said Jae Wook is not my son? I feel my heart broke into pieces. My instinct tells me that she's lying. I can see in her eyes that she's not telling the truth. But why?

I called Mr. Han to come over to my hotel room.

Knock knock...

"Come in, Mr. Han," I said.

"Good evening, Jungkook. Did you talk to her?" he asked.

"Yes." I looked down. "But she denied it." I continued.

"Do you believe in her?" he asked.

I shook my head.
"No, Mr. Han. I feel like she's lying. She's hiding the truth."

"Maybe she has her reasons why," he said.

"Whatever it is, I want to know the truth. I want to get a DNA Test, Mr. Han. Please help me get a sample from Jae Wook." I told Mr. Han and he agreed with me.

Sana's POV

"Yah! Why did you say that, Sana-ya?" It was Nayeon scolding me from the other line.
I told her what happened last night. She's upset about what I said to Jungkook.

"Nayeon, you know that I have reasons why I'm hiding this right? I don't know if I should tell him the truth or not. I was caught on guard." I defend myself.
"And you know that he's about to get married. I don't want to ruin his engagement." I added.

"Listen Sana, the reason why you two meet again is that this is the right time for you to tell him the truth. You have been hiding for a long time. It's fate who brought you back together.
And besides, he has the right to know that Jae Wook is his son. Whether you like it or not, your son needs a father, Sana. Remember that.
And about the engagement, leave that decision to Jungkook." she frankly said that to me.

I lowered my head. A tear is forming in my eyes. I was hit by her words.
Jae Wook at his very young age was longing for a father. He sometimes asked me where is his father. Whenever there's family day at school or whenever he saw a family playing at the playground, I can see in his eyes that he's sad and feel jealous. That's why whenever Jin Oppa visits us, he's extremely happy. I feel guilty about it.

"Sana-ya, I'm sorry if I tell you these things but this is I know what's right. I love you so much that's why I'm telling you this. I don't want you to be sad and lonely again. You've been holding this for a long time and I think you need to let go of it." she said in a soft voice.

I nodded while still looking down.
"I'm just afraid what if he will take Jae Wook away from me if he found out the truth?" my tears finally fell down.

"Shhh... I don't think Jungkook will do that. Believe me." she said.

I nodded again.
"I hope so, Nayeon. I hope so."

And we ended the call.

Sana's POV

I was anxiously waiting outside the daycare. I'm going to fetch Jae Wook now but I came a little bit early because my shift ended early. So I sit at the bench while waiting for their class to end. When the bell rang, I stood up and headed to the main door of the daycare. I saw my Wookie talking to a man. The man stood up and waved goodbye to Wookie.
My forehead creased. That guy looks familiar. Seems like I saw him before.

Wookie finally saw me. I waved at him and he ran towards me. I hugged him.

"How's the school my Wookie?" I asked with a bright smile.

"It was fun, Omma!" he exclaimed.

"That's good. By the way, who's that man you're talking to earlier?" I asked him.

"It's an Ahjussi. He just asked my name. And he said I look like his grandchild." he answered me.

"Okay, but never again talk to strangers, arasseo?" I said to him.

"Arasseo, Omma!" he nodded while grinning. I rubbed his back and walked heading to our car.

Jungkook's POV

"I almost got caught, Jungkook-ah. I think Sana saw me. But I'm glad that she didn't recognize me. Here's Jae Wook's sample." he said while panting and hand over the hair sample of Jae Wook. We are inside the car.

I held it. "Thank you for helping me, Mr. Han." I smiled.
"Let's send this to the lab right now," I told him.
