The Dance

The hall is decorated so nicely with red and white roses. I am standing right beside Shivaay and Omru cames to us.

"What take you long?" O asked us concerned

"There was some problem with my dress" I said immediately

"What kind of problem? " Rudy asked suspiciously

"The string of my blouse opened" I said without thinking.

What did you said Annika. You are so idiot.

"Automatically" I said quickly covering my mistake

Like seriously! Automatically? This is not machine blouse . You idiot. By seeing the look on their face i think the previous excuse was fine. I just gave them second thoughts.

I gulped and looked at Shivaay who was already giving me a death glare.

"Automatically" O and Rudy said in unison teasing us.

"Technology is advanced but still clothes are wore and opened by humans only. " Rudy said emphasising on 'opened'.

I gulped and looked away.

Am i caught?

"Anii then it must have tied also automatically. Na? " Rudy asked with a goofy grin

I was so embarrassed now. I turned towards Shivaay with a baby face and hide my face in his chest.

"Shivaay, he is teasing me. " I complained hugging him tight

"Shut up Rudy" He said scolding Rudy and hugging me back

I turned towards Rudy and stick my tongue out to tease him. Everyone chuckled.

We all were talking when Mrs. Oberoi came there with a big smile.

"Hey! Annika come here dear. I want you to meet some people. " She said too sweetly

"She is not coming with you. " Shivaay said sharply

"And may i know why? " She said smiling  bogusly

"I will take her to meet the guest. You don't need to worry, you should enjoy the party. " Shivaay said boringly

"Okay than, but you remember she is supposed to dance . The anchor will soon announce her performance and Annika i wish you all the best. " Svetlana said looking at me

"She won't dance" Shivaay said irritatingly

"Well! She have too. You know that. It's our tradition. After dance you will announce her as your wife to the media. And why are you so worried, didn't you send the choreographer at her home to learn the steps. " Svetlana said suspiciously

Is she don't know that Tia ran away and i took her place. Shivaay hide this from her. Why?

There was a silence for a while.

"I will perform, don't worry. " I said confidently and Shivaay looked at me, a bit shocked

"Good, i will you on stage than" Svetlana said and left from there.

"How will you dance? " Rudy asked

"Like you. Duh! With legs" I said sarcastically and Shivaay gave me a are-you-crazy look
