Breaking the Sky

"You seem distracted." I whipped my head towards Achilles when he said that. "I'm sorry." nahihiya kong sagot sakanya. Since that call I couldn't shake off the annoyed voice of Atlas.

"You seemed to worry about that call kanina, mind sharing it?"

I took to long to answer so he concluded it was a no. "I'm sorry. May nakalimutan lang ako isauli, so I'm a bit anxious."

"It's fine." He smiled at me. Hay, ang gwapo talaga ni Achilles. "Tell you what, let's play at their Casino." My eyes twinkled at the mention of a casino.

"They have a Casino here?" tumango siya. "Why? Mahilig ka ba sa casino?" Mabuti't nnadiligan ang aming conversation at nabuhay. We talked about casino, gambling darts and billiards.

"Ano? laro tayo billiards?" hamon ko sakanya and he smirked. "Yabang mo, paano pag natalo ka?"

Biglang pareho na kaming barumbado magsalita nang tumagal ang usapan. After finishing the pasta we made our way to the casino. Achilles quickly found a table for us and we began to play.

"Ladies first." Inirapan ko siya. The first ball went in and I smirked at him. "Yabang."

"Ulol" I finished two more balls until the next one was too impossible. Achilles looked at the table before leaning in. "Watch and learn baby girl." humagalpak ako ng tawa "Baby girl amputa." napangisi siya at hindi rin napigilan ang pagtawa.

Hindi siya nakapagconcentrate ng maayos kaya't hindi niya naipasok ang sunod na bola. "Watch and learn baby girl" panggagaya ko sakanya at umiling.

"First of all that was not hot." I rolled my eyes then positioned myself on the table. "And it was stupid."

Natawa lamang siya sa sinabi ko. We finished the game and of course I won. "Diba, sabi ko sayo mananalo ako?" After a few jokes with him I checked my phone and saw it was already 8:30 PM

"Oh shit." Dali dali kong inayos ang mga gamit ko. "Hey, may problema ba."

"I agreed to meet someone sa coffee shop ibabalik ko pa yung tshirt niya."

"Yung kausap mo kanina?" Tumango lamang ako. "Una na ako ha?"

"Ihahatid nalang kita sa apartment mo." That wasn't a bad idea kaya tumango ako. We found our way to the parking lot. Pagkaandar ng sasakyan ay tinawagan ko si Atlas.

"Hi?"

[What?]

Ganito ba talaga siya magsalita palagi? I rolled my eyes.

"Uhm baka malate ako ng kaunti"

[How long?]

"Around 9:30 na siguro ako makakadating"

[It's fine mag-aaral ako dito until 10, just be here before 10]

He ended the call abruptly. Napahinga ako ng maluwag thank god pero ang suplado niya talaga. I returned my attention to Achilles and we talked about what we do in school. Doon ko nalaman that he's pursuing chemistry sa UM.

"Wow sanaol matalino."

"Alam mo ba nung senior high ako ambobo ko sa Chem, kaya ang saya saya ko pag finofold ng teacher ko yung paper ko sa exam pag binibigay niya."

We kept on the light talk until I got to my dormitory. "Thank you, I had a great time."

Pagpasok ko sa dorm ay hinanap ko agad ang shirt ni Atlas, I booked a Grab kanina pa para madali akong makakapunta sa Café.

When I saw the grab I immediately went in. The drive was 10 minutes tops, shindi ko mapigilan ang pagtingin sa orasan during the drive, maybe because I was anxious about meeting him.
