Laura's POV
It's him...
I never wanted to see that horrible face ever again. My 'dad' was stood in the mall with a gun. I was shaking so much, Ross had his arms around me.
Ross: it's okay baby, I'll get you out of here safely.
I nod slowly.
He can't see us as we ran and hid. I couldn't believe it. When stormiest said he had escaped jail I thought oh he wouldn't find me, but here I am. How the hell am I gonna escape. What if he hurts Ross?
Damiano: I know you're here Laura, come out wherever you are...
He has a bottle of whiskey in his hand. How the hell has no one caught him yet?
We hear him walking closer, my breathing slows. I need to get out of here. Fast.
We see loads of couples and families hiding. My dad has caused this, what if he causes harm to someone else??
Ross moves slightly.
Then all of a sudden it sounds as if he's fallen...
I peak around the corner and someone's tackled him, Ross pulls me behind him.
A gun shot goes off...
We look and see he's still tackling him. Then the guy grabs his gun and stands up. He points it at my dad. The guys who tackled him tells everyone to run. Ross grabs me and we run. We get to the car and Ross stops and leans against the car, he's crouching over.
Me: Ross? Are you ok...
He turns to me and he's bleeding...
Me: oh my god no!!!!
I call an ambulance
Then I lay him down and put pressure on his legs where the blood is pouring out.
The ambulance comes and I ring stormiest and tell her to meet us at the hospital. I go in the ambulance with him.
Me: I'm so sorry😭😭 it's all my fault it should've been me
Ross: shhhh... don't be silly I will always take the bullet for you!
I'm sobbing into my hands.
We get to the hospital and I follow him and they tell me to wait outside. I sit and wait for his parents.
Then I hear a door open down the corridor. It's Stormie, Mark and Rydel.
Rydel: Laura!😭
Me: I'm sorry it should've been me I didn't want him to get hurts it's all my fault!!
They all hug me.
Stormie: don't ever think that! He was protecting you sweetie, are you okay? Did he hurt you?
Me: I'm fine it's Ross he got shot in the leg🥺😭
An hour later...
The nurses leave his room, a doctor comes out.
Doctor: we've removed the bullet and he was so lucky he didn't lose too much blood, you were very fast thinking and you saved him! He's resting now but you can go see him.
I smile and I run to see him. He's lying there, pale but alive.
I kiss his forehead and my tears fall on his cheeks.
I get a phone call...
Me: h...hello?
...? I will find you Laura, don't get too comfy... hahahahaha
I hang up and tell them
Me: the police didn't get him!!!
I'm panicking and they try to comfort me.
