Small child-like hands reached out, trying to grip onto the mans jacket. His eyes red and tear-stained, he realized the mistake he was making, leaving his only child in the human realm, the only thing of Hazel he had left after her death.
Nothing. He had nothing left except his child Lily, and he was letting her go. Go for a happier life with what was half of her kind. And she'd never know.
He hoped she'd get a good home and a great family who'd treat her better than he could, there was only so much a demonic father could do for his halved child.
And thus, he left the crying child -his only Lily- At the front of someone's door, and the sound of the cries resounded as her father walked away and slipped through the dimension portal, a lone tear of his falling.
