It's always gonna be you..

The Stay-over

The car came to halt with a screech!! "Shit.. Harish! Please check what's wrong" He told the driver who quickly stepped out and started checking.. After a while he said "Sir, time lagega thoda fix karne mein" 

"Okay, I can see a restaurant on the side, Lets all grab a bite and freshen up while it gets fixed" Sidharth said, Paaras was the first one to get out without bothering to wake Sana up, PD also stepped out cradling her 7 month old son Aadi, Shahnaaz was still fast asleep, Sidharth took a deep breath and gently tapped her Shoulder "Shahnaaz, Get up!" "Hmm.." She mumbled sleepily and turned her head the other way.

She looked too pure , Sidharth couldn't help but brush her hair away, he patted her cheek lightly " Shahnaaz.. Get up dear!" She woke up startled "Haaan! kya hua ?" 

"Relax!" he quickly said , "The car broke down, we are just taking a snack break while it gets fixed" 

"Okay, !" She said and tried getting out , still sleepy she bumped her head on the door.. "Ouch!"

"Are Baba! Wait !" he stopped her, opened the door wide for her, and subconsciously stretched his hand out for her, and She held it without thinking.. It felt the most natural thing to do, Their eyes locked for a moment, and she stepped out quickly taking her hand out of his. Sidharth felt weird, like he was robbed off something precious. 

PD and Paaras had already entered the restaurant by then, Sidharth and Sana followed them Silently.. Everyone took a seat and ordered snacks, "One cold coffee" They both said together and then smiled at each other at the coincidence.

The food came, and at that very moment Aadi started crying and PD looked exhausted, Sana felt bad and quickly got up taking him from her "Aap aaram se khaao Di!, I will handle him for a while" She said, took Aadi in her arms and started walking around rocking him in her arms, He fell asleep again.

"Wow Shahnaaz, " PD said , " Aadi doesn't usually gets along with strangers , I am amazed how he slept so easily"

Shahnaaz just smiled and kept walking around cradling a sleeping Aadi with all the love. Sidharth kept staring at her, an old ache inside his heart started again.. A long lost wish, something he dearly wanted once , something he was so close to and yet lost.

After around 2 hours, the car was finally fixed and they left for their destination, Once they reached lucknow, they dropped PD at her home , Paaras stayed with her.. Shahnaaz told that she would be staying with a friend of hers and Sidharth offered to drop her there.

They left PD's place and while in car Shahnaaz tried calling her friend whose number kept going unreachable, her face had signs of worry and Sidharth asked "everything Alright ?" 

"No, My friend's number is unreachable..I will book an Oyo" She said.

"No! Its not safe , I can not drop you at a hotel at this time Shahnaaz" Sidharth said and then hesitantly added "I have a flat here, If you trust me enough, you can stay with me tonight."

"No, no.. I can not trouble you any more Mr Sidharth.. I will book an Oyo only", she said and quickly scrolled through the app,  

"Listen!.. even the car is not in a good condition.. It might break down again, Trust me! You are my brother's gf.. my responsibilty" Sidharth said , something stung inside while he reminded himself that she was Paaras's gf.. "I have a 3 bhk if you are worried about space, Infact I have two flats in same complex.. I can leave you at one and go to another" He said trying to assure her.

Shahnaaz thought about it, This was a new city, her boyfriend did not seem bothered enough for her, and strangely she found herself trusting Sidharth, something about him felt really reassuring, maybe the way he looked at her, with all the protectiveness in his eyes.

She nodded silently.. and he smiled, quickly starting the car and they reached his apartment complex in 10 minutes.

He opened the apartment and they all stepped in, Sidharth walked her to the master bedroom and guided her to all the things she might need and then said "Cool! I will take your leave now Mam, I am here only in the adjacent flat.. feel free to knock in case you need something"

"Please ,Stay" The words left Shahnaaz's mouth before she could think... "I mean, there is plently of space here, two other rooms as well.. And I will be scared being alone in this huge house" She quickly said.

"Are you sure ?" He asked and she just nodded her head.

"Well, In that case.. Let's order some Pizza" He smiled.

The poor driver was already so tired that he had dozed off on the sofa itself..

While waiting for their Pizza, they started chatting casually.. Shahnaaz kept checking her phone again and again, hoping Paaras would at least ask if she reached safe, Sidharth noticed her disappointment and asked "Paaras didn't text ?" 

"No! " She said, "he might have slept." 

"I hope I am not getting too personal here but I am just curious, feel free not to answer if you don't want to, but are you in love with him or it's just casual. ?" Sidharth asked cautiously..

Shahnaaz took a deep breath and then said "It's more complicated than that.. I don't know why I feel like I can tell you this but promise this won't get to Paaras" Sidharth nodded "It stays between us" he assured

"When I started talking to Paaras on fb, he seemed different.. like our vibe matched so well.. but when I met him, its like that thing is missing..and also I feel like he doesn't actually love me too, he just thinks that he does, I care about him , and I have told him this as well that he will soon realize it's not love. But i can't leave him right now, he is emotionally very unstable and immature and I care about him enough not to hurt him, but if it ends.. I will not be heart-broken or anything" She finished and looked at Sidharth who was looking down, something seemed off with him and then he finally looked up at her and said  "I am sorry! I am the one who got you into this mess! "

"What do you mean ?" She asked, afraid that the answer might be exactly what she was already thinking and then he said it 

"It was not Paaras who talked to you in the beginning, It was me"
