Chapter 10 Part 3

An agitated Adrianna had  her shaking hand on her Porsche steering wheel, driving nervously.  The  weather had dramatically changed, the sun disappeared covered by dark  clouds, a storm was on it's way.
Heavy raindrops began to pour on the  car's window, forcing Adrianna to start the windscreen wipers, those  seemed helpless as the rain and forming mist affected the visibility.   Adrianna reduced her driving speed as a precaution.
But the stormy  weather was the least of her sorrow, she couldn't help thinking about  Lena and the spine-chilling revelations this one shared.  Adrianna  couldn't get over that, thinking on the eventual consequences of her  abortion, and as miraculous as it looked, for the very first time she  had her hand on her belly, smiling at her own surprise.

"What are we going to do little baby, can you help me?" She mumbled as she caressed her stomach.
"The  connection with your baby will show up with time, just learn to love  that child" These  words echoed in her mind.  Adrianna shook her head,  as if she was trying to get rid of her guilt but unsuccessfully.

"What do we do little  one, will you forget me for doing that horrendous thing to you, should  we stay together, should I tell your dad, gosh if only you could talk!"  Adrianna wiped the tears flowing down her cheeks.  All of that situation  summed up her feelings, she felt she would explode soon like an atomic  bomb, her nerves were out of control.

"Or should we drive off  to aunty Claire's office?" Adrianna asked while her phone rang breaking  off her first conversation ever with her baby.

"Shit, I forgot to  connect my phone to the car speakers!" She said annoyed, while her right  hand tried to fetch for her phone stuck inside her handbag.  She tried  to keep her mind focused on her driving, keeping an eye from time to  time on the road and her left hand controlling the steering wheel.

"Come on!" She cursed as her phone wasn't reachable, she turned her head to her bag trying to get a sight on her phone.
The mist forming outside became more and more thicker and dark, nothing could be seen.
"Damn you fucking phone!" She said annoyed.

As she finally had  reached over the ringing iPhone, in the next second a violent sound was  all she remembered as a car coming from her left at a pretty fast speed,  hitting her car violently to her driving side.  It's all she heard  before her eyes closed, her face covered with blood and felt  unconscious, her head leaning on the airbag.

A sharp pain inside her  dead, that was what she felt as her eyes slowly opened.  Even though the  windows were covered with green curtains, the thin dim light made  things harder for Adrianna.  Her eyes fully opened but still painful  adjusted to the light.  While touching her head, her fingers could touch  a sort of gauze stuck on her forehand. 

"What did happen?" She  spoke to herself with a confused state of mind.  Adrianna turnef her  head to her right and could notice her dad fell asleep in the chair and  his head laying on her bed.  Her mom was sleeping on the white sofa in  the corner of the medical room.  Adrianna tried to change her position  to feel a little more comfortable, but her body refused any moves, her  ribs felt like they would break at any moment, while her left arm wasn't  better either.  All she had in mind was the horrendous sound of the car  crash then everything turned black.

"Adri, you're awakened daring?" Her dad asked with a big smile on his face.  You could tell he  felt revived again, as a sigh of relief escaped his mouth.

"Dad, what happened?" Adrianna asked, very confused.

"You had a car accident,  a terrible car accident baby, you have no severe injuries, but serious  bruises, scratches all over your body!"
