Chapter 10 Part 2

On the first impression, Lena seemed to be a shy and a pretty person, but the more Adrianna was showing friendly towards her, a softer Lena was opening easily.
Claire dropped her at around ten in the morning, Adrianna having her informed that her afternoon was already scheduled.
As Lena stepped inside Adrianna's house, the luxury had her blown away.
"This is the most beautiful house I've seen!!" Lena had exclaimed.
Based on that simple detail, Lena could tell that Adrianna had a certain style of life and a high rank in the German society, to make it simple she was rich, very rich more precisely.

"Although I appreciate your presence I still don't get what's the point of your visit, I'm clueless, but don't get me wrong, I'm not kicking you out of my house!" Adrianna said with a soft pleasant voice and a smile.

"No, I don't feel offended at all, well, Claire saved me when I was at the lowest of my life, she asked me a favor to talk to you!" Lena spoke sipping on her cappuccino made by Adrianna.

"What do you mean by you were at the lowest in your life?" Adrianna frowned her eyes.

"You and I have something in common!"

"We do?"

"Yes, two years ago, I got pregnant!"

"Oh, alright I see now what you meant by we have something in common.!" A bewildered Adrianna answered.

"I wanna share what happened to me and meanwhile wanna help you, but you and you only will have the last word, because I can't decide for you!"

"Right, I bet Claire told you about my current situation!" Adrianna shrugged her shoulders.

"Yes, she told me, but I won't be judgmental because it's your life, I want to make you realize what you'll have to go through!"

"What do you mean by going through?" Adrianna's curiosity peaked up.

"Two years ago, I found myself pregnant, when I told my parents, they turned their back on me, my so called friends weren't very much supportive neither, I was on my own, I had a shitty job in a shitty supermarket, and realized that having a baby would be the worst of the scenario!"

"I'm … I'm sorry!" Adrianna mumbled with pitiful eyes, she could see the hurt in Lena's face expression.

"No money, no house, no future, so to make things easier for me I had an abortion, and trust me, it isn't a solution to the problem…" 

"What do you mean?"

"I was healthy when I had it, the doctor said that no complications would arise, that I could have other babies in the future, but all were lies, I stayed in bed for two weeks, sick as fuck, fever, I couldn't get to the hospital because they would have notice that I killed a baby, but the worst is that…. [Lena sighed heavily] the worst is that later I was told I couldn't get pregnant again, I suffered of a severe infection after the abortion, and that's it!"

"Oh my god, Lena… I'm speechless, I'm so really sorry!" Adrianna's mouth opened at Lena's scary revelation, she felt a cold sensation running down her spine.

"Thank you… but that is my punishment, my karma and I totally bear it!"

"No, don't ever say that, it's not a punishment!" Adrianna had her hand over Lena's, in a cheering up manner.

"It is Adrianna, it is, and the worst was when I told my dad about what I've done, he never forgave me until today!"

"I'm so sorry  I can't imagine what you've gone through!" Adrianna said as she felt her eyes filling with tears.

"Adrianna, listen to me carefully  don't do the same mistake I did, I'm begging you, this child, this baby you're carrying, he has to live his life  he has to be loved by both of it's parents, he has to be born and not killed, otherwise you'll have to live with that on your conscience forever!"

"I can't have it, I can't!"

"Yes, you can have it, and who cares if the father of that baby is young, it's not a reason to get rid of it!"

"Jadon's age and his lack of maturity isn't the only reason I can't have this baby, I have health issues and having this baby is way too risky!"

"Your doctor will know how to deal with that issue, don't punish this innocent life because of your mistake!"

"I don't feel any connection with that baby, I know it's growing inside of me, but I don't feel him!"

"It's only because the baby can feel you and your emotions, he can feel he's undesired, learn to love him and things will get better!"

"I don't think I'll be good at this!"

"Oh you will… And did you think of Jadon, what would be his reaction if he ever got to know that, he will never forgive you, never, and believe me, I know a lot on that subject!"

"He's just too young, he's still a child himself!"

"Don't make up excuses because of its age, it's not like you'll have to marry him, I'm sure he'll love that gorgeous baby to the fullest!"

"I'm conscious on that, he's a good guy you know, I'm not angry about that night, I'm not angry we had sex, I'm just angry at myself for having been that stupid!"

"It's not being stupid, it happened because it was written it'd happen, you had sex because both wanted to have it, and his age is certainly not the problem, come on Adrianna, you're a good person, I can see that, when the baby will be slowly growing inside of you, you will experience something of unique, you'll love him, don't make that mistake, you gonna have that baby!"

"I.. I don't know if I can!"

"You are loved by your parents, your friends, you have everything settled to welcome this baby, don't ruin everything, I'm begging you, don't make the same fatal mistake I made!" 

"When they'll find out who's the father of that baby, their reaction might change!"

"Yes, it's pretty shocking though indeed, but I'm sure Jadon will be such a nice father, he will love your child, who can hate on a baby, answer please!"

"I think nobody can't hate a baby, but this whole situation is way too complicated…" Adrianna's stubbornness seems to have waned. She stared around her sighing deeply.

"I know you are strong enough to face this, it's not too late to step back from that decision, you can make it Adrianna!"

"Yes, perhaps!"

"I hope I've been a useful help to you, I have to leave now!"

"Oh really, you sure you don't want to stay over for lunch, I will order us some nice food!" Adrianna proposed.

"Oh I'd love to, but I have to go back to work, but maybe be someday, I'd love to chat more with you!"

"Yes sure, will be my pleasure, oh at least I can drop you at your workplace!"

"No, you don't have to, I like to travel by bus!"

"Ok then, and thank you, my mind is a lot clearer now, thank you so much!"

"Claire is the one who has to be thanked, she loves you, so please, don't make a stupid move!"

"I will…" Adrianna walked with Lena to the entrance door.

"See you then girl, take care of both of you, bye!' Adrianna's reply was just a smile, no words, no face expression, just a smile.

Adrianna felt herself totally shaken off, her mind completely clouded with confusion.  Echoes of Lena's voice were striking her in the worst of the way.
Her phone in hand buzzed with an incoming text message.

"Adrianna, your appointment is at 2PM, everything is ready, you'll stay at the clinic for the next two days just to keep an eye on you, don't worry, everything will be fine, Dr Delgard."

As she finished reading the text message, she seized a bag with some personal stuff, clothes she prepared to bring to the clinic.
Her car key in hands, she stepped out of her house, closed the door.

"It's the only way!" She mumbled with tears.
