It was Alex... "Hey, how are you doing",he asked. "I'm breathing" I said and it made him chuckle making his blue eyes shine. "Do you want to go for a walk?", he asked. I was tired of lying down all day and there was nothing to do cause my books were not here. "Fine" I said trying to hide my excitement.
He took permission from the doctor and we went to the park. While we were strolling I saw a book stand by the corner then I went over to look at the books... They were fascinating. "I never knew you loved books" he asked with excitement in his voice. "Well there are lots of things you don't know about me", I answered. I left the book stand and we kept walking when I saw an old woman trying to pick up her things that fell. I went over to her and helped her pick her things when picking them I felt Alex watching me and I was so uncomfortable cause he doesn't know this side of me so when I was done I quickly stood up and smiled at the old lady and I kept walking and really fast. And yes he was right behind me smiling like a moron. " Kayla!!" I heard a little boy scream. I looked around and I met Jason. "Aww cutie you came came to the park today" I said tickling his little body. " Are you with your boyfriend?" he asked looking at Jason. "Oh no no", I answered feeling uncomfortable. Jason walked over to him and said hello then Alex said the unexpected, the unheard of, the dreaded," Yes she is my girlfriend but she won't admit it. Anyways how did you get to know her?" he asked and I glared at him. If looks could kill..." Well she usually comes to our orphanage home to visit and play with us", Jason replied. "Really?" Alex asked." OK Jason that's enough now Miss Steele must be looking for you" I said. "OK bye" he said waving his tiny hands." Bye, I'll come later." I turned to face Alex" Why did you do that?". "What did I do?"
I was already exhausted by the time we came back to the hospital. I sat on my bed and Alex sat on the chair." Is everything okay between you and your dad?"
