Chapter 9: Festival

A few weeks later....

Everyone was practicing their parts for the festival. Once again, Jirou and Kaminari were in her room. She instructed the rest of the notes- which repeated throughout the whole song. Kaminari smiled at Jirou. "You ready to play it?" Jirou asked. "Yup." He replied. "One, two, one, two, three, four!" Jirou started to play. Kaminari joined. It sounded awesome! Jirou sang the words. When they finished, there was a knock on the door. "Come in." Jirou said. The door opened. It was Tokoyami, Yaoyorozu, and Bakugou. "We heard you playing. It sounds great!" Yaoyorozu said kindly. "Thanks!" Kaminari said smiling. "Do you guys wanna play it with us?" Tokoyami asked. "Yeah!" Jirou exclaimed. They all got their instruments set up in her room. "Okay... One, two.. One, two, three, four!" Jirou said. They started. The sound of the music flowed through the building. The other students heard the music and went to Jirou's door and opened it. They were still playing. Jirou started to sing. The students stood in the hall watching them play. Soon after, the song ended. "Oh my gosh! Guys, that was awesome!" Uraraka exclaimed. Everyone loved it. The students gathered around the band team complimenting them.

The day of the festival....

Jirou was nervous. What if I screw everything up? What if something bad happens? Jirou thought. Kaminari walked over. "I am so hyped!! We're gonna do great! Wait- Are you okay?" "I'm just... Nervous." Jirou said. "Don't be! We're gonna kill it!" Kaminari exclaimed. It made her feel better that Kaminari reassured her.
It was time. The class walked up to their places and waited. "One, two.. One, two, three, four." Jirou whispered. They started. Jirou felt the music flow through her earphones as she started to sing. The crowed's cheers got louder as the song progressed. Soon after, the song ended. The class ran off the stage. Jirou ran to Kaminari. "That was awesome!" Kaminari said as Jirou hugged him. Kaminari was surprised. W- I didn't think she would do something like that.. Kaminari thought. Jirou finally realized what she was doing and backed off. "Sorry...." Jirou said quietly. Why is she apologizing? Kaminari asked himself. "It's fine. But seriously, that was awesome! Your singing was great!!" Kaminari exclaimed. "Your guitar playing wasn't bad for your first time." Jirou stated. They smiled at each other. Jirou felt her face moving closer to his. "Hey, guys!" Mina interrupted. Jirou jumped. "Hey.." "We did awesome, don't you think?!" Mina said excitedly. "Of course!" Kaminari exclaimed.
Soon after was the beauty pageant. They all stood in front of the stage. Kaminari wasn't paying attention. He was busy looking at someone else. Jirou peered back at him. Kaminari looked away. Has he been staring at me the whole time? Jirou asked herself.

Back at the dorms.....

"I'm so tired from that!!" Mina said. "I hear you. That was so much work." Asui replied. "Guys, we should have a sleepover!!" Mina said to the class. "Oh my gosh, yes!!" Uraraka said excitedly. "Actually, it would be a good idea for us all to hang out again. I'm on board!" Sero said.
They all decided to have a 'sleepover/hangout thing' in the living room- except Bakugou, whom thought it was a dumb idea.
