Jennifer's POV

Jennifer woke up at approximately 7:15 am. She dressed and went into the bathroom to wash up before the meeting. Once downstairs, she sat on her dining chair to think about her meeting with Ilene and the actresses auditioning for Tina. She had heard from Ilene that she and the network really enjoyed watching Laurel Holloman.

"Laurel Holloman, hmm..." Jennifer's mind wandered off in thought. For some unknown reason, she was interested in this woman. So, she pulled out her laptop and google-searched "Laurel Holloman."

A picture of a beautiful, average-sized blonde woman—probably about thirty-two years of age—came up. "She's beautiful," Jennifer heard herself say aloud. She was so engulfed in researching this woman that she didn't even hear her husband creeping up behind her.

"Who is?" he said.

Jennifer jumped up, startled. "How long have you been there, Kenneth?" she asked, still a bit startled.

"Well, long enough to see what you were googling." He looked at her, then leaned into the laptop. "You're right, she is beautiful."

Jennifer smiled and then turned her attention back to the laptop. "If you don't mind Kenneth, I'd like to return to my work." Without another word, Kenneth left her in peace to do her research.

Kenneth and Jennifer had been married for five years. As a result, he was well aware of how serious and important her work was to her.

When Jennifer finished with her laptop, she headed over to the driveway. "Goodbye, Ken," she said with a wave. "I'll be home later." Then, she was out the door and outside.
Jennifer hopped into her car and drove on Interstate 405, looking out the window from time to time. Her thoughts once again circled back to Laurel Holloman. She found it rather strange that all she could think about was the blonde, even though she was to meet other actresses auditioning.

She reached the movie set on which the meeting would take place. She parked her car and went to her trailer to meet Ilene.

They conversed for a few minutes before Ilene had to go and oversee another audition. On the way out, she told Jennifer to record the meeting with Laurel and the other actresses.

Jennifer was on the set beginning to work on the scene when the director yelled, "Cut!" She returned to her trailer to rest for a minute. Her eyes were closed when she heard a knock on her trailer door. Her dog, which she had brought with her, was barking loudly by her side.

"Hush, Rudy," Jennifer shushed. As to not let him escape, she carefully slipped out the door of the trailer, coming face-to-face with a woman she didn't recognize. When her manners kicked in, Jennifer held out her ring-laden hand with great poise. "Hi!" she said. "Sorry, that's just my dog."

The woman shook back. "No, it's fine. May I come in?"

"Sure." Jennifer opened the door, and the woman stepped inside hesitantly. Upon making eye contact with her, Rudy went off again, scaring the woman into a million bits... which only resulted in more ferocious barking.

Laurel's POV

Laurel Holloman woke up alarmed. She was frantic, having overslept. She quickly and quietly went to the bathroom to shower and get dressed. She had no time to eat breakfast from home so she would have to order something from Starbucks. She was supposed to go and meet an actress named Jennifer, and then meet with Ilene after.

She hurried off and started driving. She turned on the music up as motivation, and to make her less nervous about the meeting. "I mean, they must like me, right?" she thought to herself. She was already anxious again but knew she had to pull herself together. She could not let the others sense her fear. She stopped at the nearest Starbucks where she ordered a coffee and a ham and cheese sandwich.

"Should I order something for Jennifer?" she pondered for a moment. She decided that yes she should, so she ordered an extra coffee and paid her new balance.

She thanked the employees and quickly got into her car. The busy-city traffic gave her lots of time to drink her own coffee. It would take thirty minutes to get there anyway, and she didn't want it to get cold.

Laurel arrived on the set of Jennifer's new movie. She got out of the car, fixed herself quickly, took her sandwich and scarfed a bit of it down her throat. She took the hot coffees and walked over to a PA to ask where Jennifer's trailer was. The PA told her that it was "the one next to the green house."

Laurel saw trailers upon trailers, some of which were occupied by already-chosen stars of the movie. She smiled to herself and continued on the path toward Jennifer's trailer. There was a large trailer next to a green house. She smiled—she had arrived.

She walked up to it and was just about to knock when a woman she'd never seen before exited. Laurel stalled by the steps, looking around for about thirty seconds outside.

"Should I really do it?" she thought. "What if I'm not good enough? No, stop it, Laurel. You must be. Why else would they want you to meet Jen?" She composed herself and knocked on the door. Within a minute a beautiful, tall brunette appeared, shocking Laurel in her boots. She had seen Jennifer's films (most notably the 1983 hit "Flashdance") but could not believe she was actually in Jennifer's presence.

Jennifer smiled a warm smile that Laurel had never seen on any other face before.

"Hello, I'm Laurel Holloman," she introduced herself to Jennifer.

"I know," she said, smile not fading. "You may come in, but be careful of my dog. Just ignore him."

Jennifer's sentence sounded so soft-spoken, Laurel was already been entranced by her. Laurel nodded and entered the trailer. She exhaled a breath and thought, "This is it..."
