Sometimes I wish I could end it all and escape to somewhere peaceful. I have tried to leave when I was younger I attempted to run away but the alpha caught me just thinking about it makes me wince in pain. I have the memories to prove that there is no escape from this hellhole yet at the same time it home the one place that keeps me safe. I don't have the luxury of just running away from everything like in the movies.

Getting up I walked to the river. Looking into the crystal clear water I saw my broken reflection. My light brown hair stuck to my forehead shiny and greasy, my eyes were no longer the same colour as they used to be the colour mostly faded from them not a single emotion present just dullness, my skin was more like some piece of art showing the artists anger and depression through the use of reds, blacks and blues. I was beaten, bruised and broken but still around. It's takes a lot more than a beating to keep a bitch down.

Leaning towards the river I cupped a handful of water gently splashing it against my face the cold water bringing chills down my spine a chuckle escaping my lips. I watched as crimson water washed away the blood. They say water is cleansing taking pain with it but the pain lingers still stabbing and hurting.

"Pack meeting." a simple command that I couldn't disobey even if I tried not that there was any point if I did I would just only get trouble for it later.

Shifting I leaned forward allowing my bones to pop and change place as the agonising pain seared through my body as I shifted. I felt a howl escape my lungs the beast within revelling in the release of freedom.

Quickly running through the forest I dodged trees and jumped roots loving the rush as the wind whipped through my fur the breeze bringing cool release to my skin. Sniffing I found the scent from the backpack I had hidden earlier I unshifted grabbing my clothes quickly changing I don't wanna be punished for being late again.

Arriving at the pack house the pack was crowded around the meeting area being tall had its advantages.I was able to see the alpha his pitch black hair noticeable no matter how short he cut it contrasting against his tan skin. The alpha was only a few inches taller, which is one of the delusions I like to tell myself, than me standing at 6'6 but let's forget how he was just a huge man built like a boulder of pure muscle. The Luna stood beside him her silver hair shining brightly wrapped around her body with her smile beaming off of her as she messes around with it; someone clearly just dyed her hair it again.

"Okay everyone time to settle down I know my calling you here was unexpected but I did it bearing great news." The alpha barked out hushing  the anticipated crowd almost instantaneously whether it was out of fear or respect it made no difference no one would dare speak against him not wanting to face any consequences. "As we know my son was sent off to train from a young age and many of haven't seen him since he was a pup. So that he could be an alpha worthy of this pack and within a couple of days he shall finally return to us at last!" The alpha cheered picking the Luna up in his arms causing her to gasp laughing hugging him bringing their lips together. He then started to talk about arrangements that shall be made for the party that will be held on the return of his son.

Slowly walking home I made a mental note of all the chores and responsibilities I would have for the party not wanting to mess up anything at all and leave a bad impression on the soon to be alpha I hope this one would allow me to have some freedom to be me.

Looking up I saw the moon was almost full I never enjoyed this time it was when both sides of me teetered on a thin edge and I don't mean the human and the wolf as much as you might think that wolves shift on the full moon and hunt and them good old fairy tales might say we don't. It's more of a need or a primal urge to run to be free, be wild if only for the night though most don't and can resist the urge some cannot.v

I felt uneasy I got to closer home farther from the safety of the pack house and the constant nearby protection of having around 30-50 wolves around at any given time not that I was defenceless or anything. I wasn't. Unlike most I'm not just your run of the mill wolf not that I ever show the hidden part of me. My thoughts of unease and Doubt disappear seeing the shadow cast by my stand alone house that my parents had built not that I could ask them now why they did it so far from anyone else

Going to my room I knew the next couple of days would be tiring with the alphas son returning from wherever he was and all the jobs I would get stuck with for the party it wasn't going to be pleasant but it was that or get beaten for disobeying the alpha.

I striped off climbing under my many throws the fur causing me to sigh in relief my troubles melting away as soft blankets took me away to a world that doesn't hurt.

My body felt cold and rigid, opening my eyes slowly I saw a shadow engulfing my room. I attempted get a look and stand up but I was caught off guard when I was pulled up.

"I know what you can do so don't try anything." He let me go passing me some clothes. He walked over to window looking out at it. "I know plenty about you and your little teleportation ability and I want you to join me." His voice rang echoing throughout my head. He knew. Nobody knew. I was always smart when only using it when I had no other option and when there was no one around or atleast I thought.

I was shocked. my mind a blur. He knew about me. I was done for if anyone ever found about what I was I would be killed as an abomination. Among my people it was seen as wrong to be a "cross breed" as they called it, they were unstable unable to control who the were as they grew up eventually the instability driving them into a madness causing them to go into a murderous frenzy.

I couldn't breathe my lungs weren't working I struggled attempting to get another breath out. Grasping at bed sheets anything to keep my self from falling over I felt a pair of hands grasp my sides gently keeping me plummeting to the floor.

"Now young one calm down as I said before I want you to join me or at least help me to kill your alpha and his son then you can have your freedom." He whispered starting straight into my eyes his breath touching my skin.

"I w-won't allow you." I nervously stuttered out between breaths pushing him away from me standing on my own two feet.

"Oh come now we could be together a male banshee and a hybrid it will be like twilight with a twist. The indecisive boy in your case. Me the one you end up with and let's say the alpha's son as the mongrel that gets left behind." He said walking behind me whispering almost into my ear. The overbearing smell of his cheap aftershave caused me to sneeze and no not a normal man sneeze something that sounded like a mother fucking Chihuahua!.

"Well that's adorable plus also picture it me the hot, handsome and heroic knight that swoops in and saves his furry Princess from the mongrels. Ops I mean Prince." He said patting me on the head like some domesticated animal. This dude is getting thrown back out the window he came from in a second  He starting to piss me off first waking me up in the dead of the night then asking me to betray my pack, and that awful aftershave. I already hate him.

"Wait. can't people hear you werewolf hearing." I said in a mocking pointing to my ears. Someone nearby on patrol will be able to hear him hopefully.

"Remember magic." He said in a condescending tone waving his hands in my face. "I'm not an idiot I know a few spells." So he's like me but annoying and condescending.

I could feel my body tremble in fear and a sudden coldness as he slowly closed the distance us once again.

"There is one thing you must have very ugly fur I haven't even see you shift before and I have been watching you for a while." He said looking unimpressed. Wait! What did this bitch just say. Did he just go there I felt offended it was so close to the full moon and I wasn't exactly in the most control right now I was ready I leap at him.

Hearing a howl off In the distance he looked out the window distracted. "It seems our time has been cut short." my eyes flicked to door as I quickly dashed for it. "Ah. Ah. Ah, you don't get away so fast little one but I must go see you soon." My vision faded slowly as he blew some sort of simmering dust in my face my mind going blank.
