Prologue . ' The Dream , The Scroll and The Cliff . '

Richards point of view .

I opened my eyes as I smiled , looking around in the void of my mind . This was my mind , but not . Dream traveling can take place in anyone's mind , but in this case it is mine . I looked in front of me and spotted a female figure , who I knew was smiling . I walked towards her as she ran to me , smiling more . ' Brother ! ' She cried as we hugged , her head resting on my right shoulder and my head buried in her neck as she sobbed from the distance we had . You're probably wondering how this came to be . Well , back before I met Adriana and Peyton , it was just me and my little sister , Phoniex . Patents ? Dead . In this world , there are two realms . The Surface and The Steve Saga Realm . My sister and I were playing around , not noticing the cliff . What's the cliff ? The way I lost my sister . I remember it just like yesterday..

' Phoniex ! '

' Richard ! '

I tried to grab her but she screamed , falling down .

I screamed , but the people in my town pulled me back . .

One day , when I was dreaming . . I saw something , no , someone .

' Who are you ?! ' I yelled , not showing my hint of fear . They turned around and I froze .

' B-Brother.. ' The person spoke in stammers .

' Y-You..I-I saw you fall ! This isn't- ' I began to speak , but was cut off from two things ; Her sobs and her hug .

After that , we spoke for hours on end since I slept for ten hours in total . She mentioned one particular name ..

' Who is this...' Time Steve ' you keep on mentioning ? Is it someone you love ? ' I asked only for her to laugh .

' No , dummy ! Time Steve is one of the Steve's ! I'm his apprentice . ' Phoniex stated , smiling .

' What do you do ? ' I asked .

' I usually help him take down his brother when needed.. ' Phoniex said slowly .

' His brother ? ' I asked .

' His brother , Elemental Steve . Whatever you do , do NOT fall for his tricks . ' Phoniex warned me seriously , making me confused . I nodded as we said goodbye for that time being , I was waking up .

Currently , I was at my friends house , Peyton . I have known him since sixth grade . So , five and three quarters of years or whatever .

' Richard . '

' Richard.. '

' RICHARD WALKER ! '

I sprung up , about to attack but then realized it was just Peyton .

' Sorry , I was in my thoughts again.. ' I said , rubbing the back of my neck .

' It's okay . Just saying , Adriana got here . ' Peyton stated as I heard humming from the kitchen . Female humming , to be exact . 

' What is she making ? ' I asked .

' Dunno . Let's go find out . ' Peyton said as we both stood up and walked out from the living room to the kitchen when we finally had heard singing . Not to mention she was making food , but she never sings in front of anyone .

' wolves asleep amidst the trees ,

bats all a swaying in the breeze..

but one soul lies anxious , wide awake ,

fearing no manner of ghouls , hags and wraiths..

for your dolly Polly sleep has flown ,

don't dare let her tremble alone ..

birds are silent for the night ,

cows turned in as daylight dies ..

fearing no manner of ghouls , hags and wraiths ..

my dear dolly Polly shut your eyes ,

lie still , lie silent , utter no cries ..

as the witcher, brave and bold ,

paid in coin of gold ..

he'll chop and slice you ,

cut and dice you ,

Peyton and I were blown away . I smiled as I quietly walked to her and hugged her , making her flinch .

' You sounded awesome as ever , Adria.. ' I stated , smiling as I felt her , just barely , smile .

' Not to ruin your loving moment , but I found something . ' Peyton announced .

' First of , we are not dating . Now , what did you find ? ' I stated then asked after I unhugged Adriana , knowing she hated hugs .

' This . ' Peyton said as he held up a scroll , which unrolled .

' I wonder what it is called and it's purpose . ' I said , walking over to the table which Peyton placed the scroll onto .

' it is named ' The Next Four ' and it serves a purpose only the apprentices teachers , fathers in such , can answer . ' Adriana stated as she put away the food she made and cleaned up the mess before walking over to stand between me and Peyton , me on her left and Peyton on her right .

' How do you know ? ' Peyton asked .

' read it . ' Adriana instructed .

'  The prophecy is written for the three to find . One to know , two to climb . One will find The Elemental Master lurking near the ocean's depths . Soon , two humans will stand on the right and left . In the middle will stand one who has barely spoken , but it seems lead to them being more broken . ' I read aloud . Peyton had a thoughtful look . That is never good .

' I heard there was some sort of elemental master where Phoniex is . ' Peyton said and I was about to attack him . I only told him about my dream traveling , but not Adriana . Speaking off her , she looked at me with a curious face . Well frick .

' you said she fell down the cliff . is she alive ? ' Adriana questioned . I sighed and nodded .

' I never told you , but me and my sister dream travel . ' I stated and she froze . Oh boy , here it comes .

' what have i told you about dream traveling ? you know it is very dangerous , Richard . ' Adriana said darkly , which sent shivers down my back and probably Peyton's as well . I nodded , which meant I understood .

' Wait , if she is alive , why don't we go say hello ? ' Peyton said . I smiled , but knew Adriana wouldn't want to . I headed upstairs to grab a few things . I entered the room me and Peyton share even if I don't live here . Well , maybe I do somewhat . I grabbed my small bag which had a book , a pocket knife , a pen and a metal water bottle . I exited the room with my bag and then walked downstairs to see Peyton with a bag and Adriana with hers , which she literally always carries around . Why ? I don't know . Peyton yawned , meaning if we didn't go now , we wouldn't ever . I grabbed Peyton's hand and headed out the door , having Adriana behind us and shutting the door before she locked it with the key she received from Peyton . Approximately fifteen minutes later , we came to the cliff my sister fell off of . It pained me , but at least she is alive and well . Adriana looked down and I made sure I have onto her hand so she didn't fall . Okay , I see her as my sister . I have known her since I was ten . I was lost out of my memories when Peyton fell . I quickly jumped after him , Adriana following . Here we come , Phoniex . .
