Why do i need to say sorry,
No wrong doing has happened,
No words have been said,
Yet i still say sorry.
i have to say sorry,
When i dress a certain way that isn't approved,
When i get looks from men 10 years my senior,
Why am i the one to say sorry.
Why must i say sorry for my siblings wrong doing,
For the forgetting of a school book that isn't mandatory,
For the pain someone else has caused,
For the pain that stops me from functioning every month.
It has been instilled in me that i need to say sorry,
Even if i've done nothing wrong,
Even if i don't do anything,
Even if i feel under the weather.
Why do i have to say sorry,
When i'm physically incapable of doing a task,
When i'm not understanding something,
When i'm struggling with my sanity.
Why must i say sorry,
When i reject a boy or girl,
When i can't afford something,
When i have to much homework to hangout.
Why do i need to say sorry,
No wrong doing has happened,
No words have been said,
Yet society tells me i have to say sorry.
