The village of Azuma is situated in a very defensible position, surrounded by mountain ranges and humungous tress that even the largest of Grimm find hard to penetrate as well as constant patrols for added security. A river abundant with life flows just beside the perimeter walls giving sustenance to the village. Basara walks through the iron gates filled with paper seals and markings, he greets the armor-clad guard holding a bo staff that's on duty and the guard tips his hat to him. at the center of the village stood a tall tower, about 8 stories high. this building was fashioned from old Japanese temples, it had red tile roofings and smooth pillars. Basara walked up the steps of the tower and was greeted by an old man with a pipe in a fancy grey red. The man looked very old, he was maybe around the late 80s, all his hair have deserted his head save from his thick eyebrows and a grand beard. his body looked frail but the scars show that he was formidable on his prime.

"Master Gouki..." Basara exclaimed in shock "It's odd that you would greet someone like me here at the bottom of your tower."

"You know how impatient I am boy, I wait for no one!" Gouki shouts angrily.

Basara dismisses the old man's anger with a laugh. Gouki scoffs and begins to walk inside the tower with Basara following behind him.

The entrance to the towers is a large golden torii gate adorned with seals and rope of various sizes. the inside of the gate was a rippling distorted space, it hummed a low but constant whir that was a little annoying for Basara, the inside couldn't be made out clearly, it seemed that the colors shifted constantly. as they walk past the gate they were transported in the middle of an arena, behind them no door could be found, its as if they were teleported there. the arena had a circle stage with stone benches that surrounded it, four men in leather armor were also standing at the center.

Master Gouki turns at Basara with seriousness in his eyes "Basara, two days from now, the K'Veraen will begin."

"What!" Basara exclaims shockingly "so soon? how will this happen?"

"Apparently a group called Red Talon will oversee this bout. they are quite powerful and would be able to supervise this event. the other Masters have already agreed and only wait for my approval.". one of the armored men brings up a seat for Master Gouki.

"So, what's up with the other warriors? if I remember correctly K'Varaen only honors one combatant per school"

Gouki lights up his pipe "Basara, my boy, you know how important this is to me right? to be able to foster the K'Varaen in our school. to be able to house the true assassin." he takes a hit from his pipe and blows it upward, the smoke danced around then dissipates. "These warriors are my personal guard, The Mago. I have etched in their bones the runes for the first seal you will perform during the battle, the soul capture Seal,  Final Bloom: Subatomic Black Lotus. they will position themselves around the stadium and perform the first set of Seals for you, you only need to perform the Seal "Nen" to activate the Final Bloom"

This left Basara speechless

"F-Final Bloom?! you want to cheat and use one of the deadliest seals ever created?! are you insane?! "

The Master furiously springs from his chair "THIS IS NOT A GAME, BOY! we are assassins! we finish the mission by any means necessary!do you think those old farts aren't gonna play dirty?"

Gouki collects himself and sits back down

"You are my finest student Basara, you're the only one I know who can do this. you and I are the only ones who can perform the Final Bloom. you must do this"

Basara lowered his head, trembling in pent up anger.

"You owe me your life, boy. I could have left you in that godforsaken forest 10 years ago if I wanted to. it was ME who fed and took you into my home, ME who trained you in the arts you are now so proficient in, ME who taught you everything I know...you WILL do this for ME!"

Basara raised his head, looked Gouki in the eyes and said

"By your will Master...consider it done..."
