I cried at his words. Kneeling in front of me with a box of ring is my man. My everything.
I cried more before saying, "I'm sorry..."
and hugged him.
He hugged back and kissed my forehead. "Shhh.. don't be, Love. I'll wait.." he assured me.
I decided to broke up with him after his engagement and I don't have any idea where he is right now. After all those years as I chase my dreams, my feelings for him remains the same. All those years I tried to forget him, I failed. And now I'm here, living with my dreams feeling nothing but emptiness.
"Miss Castilleja, may meeting po kayo with one of the new investor in an hour sa La Vida Hotel." rinig kong sabi ng secretary ko sa intercom.
"Prepare the papers." Sinuot ko ang coat ko at lumabas na ng office. My secretary handed me the case with the papers inside.
I skedaddle and drove to the venue.
"Dana Castilleja." sabi ko sa receptionist. Iginiya ako ng isang staff patungo sa table ng kameeting ko ngayon.
In a distance I saw a very familiar figure. My heart beats rapidly by his presence. Paanong? Is he the new investor?
I was able to compose my feelings. I wanted to hug him so bad! Oh how I miss this man.
I sat there quietly. Nawala lahat ng pinagplanuhan kong speech. He looked at me intently.
He smiled shyly at tumayo sa kinauupoan niya. I was shocked at his sudden move. Is he going to leave?
My heart beats faster than before nang napagtanto kong papalapit siya sakin.
He kneeled in front of me at may kinuhang box sa pocket niya.
I cried again.
"As promised. Dana Castilleja, my love. Are you willing to spend your whole life with me?"
he proposed shortly. I nodded and hugged him so tight.
"I love you so much..and I'll always will" I sobbed.
"I love you too so damn much.." He slide the ring on my finger and sealed the proposal with a long kiss.
"I told you I'll always be yours" he kissed me again. "I wanted to stay with you with all those years.. I wanted to hug you as I looked at you from afar.. Kiss you.." He kissed the tip of my nose. "Marry you.. and have kids with you..but I know you have to do something for yourself.. You wanted freedom to live a life worth living and I did too. We did it, Love." He kissed me passionately and intertwined our hands. rinig ko ang palakpakan sa loob ng restaurant. I smiled shyly.
"Can't wait to have kids with you." I glared at him. Humalakhak naman siya. Oh God, how I love this man.
