Home Sweet Home

On a hot summer day in 1964, Bronwyn was expecting her brother, George, to come home from his first world tour. She was so very proud of him! Never did she think he could pull this off.
Along with three other boys, George had started a band called The Beatles that had taken over the world in a short period of time. There was Paul. He used to go to school with George and was Bronwyn's best friend. Naïve little Bronwyn never realised how much he loved her. Paul would flirt with her all night and she wouldn't realise it, even though everyone else knew.
There was Ringo. Who was the sweetest guy she ever met. 'A real gentleman'. He never looked at her with lust in his eyes, like many others did. She hated the feeling of being looked at as if she was an object!
Of course there was one exception. She wanted one guy to look at her like that, but he only saw her as a little girl. John Lennon.
He would tear her heart out of her chest when he called her 'like my little sister'.
Bronwyn didn't know when or why she suddenly fell for him. It wasn't on schedule! But it did happen. He would never love or even like her that way. She hated the fact that she looked forward to seeing him. He was an ass, an actual ass!
It was already noon. WHERE WERE THEY?

'Calm down honey!' her mother said 'they will be here soon!'

Bronwyn rolled her eyes and sighed: 'Typical
McCartney! Always late! Never on time! Always sitting on my nerves!'.

She threw herself on her couch with a Vivian Leigh-like expression of despair.

'Oh darling, he means well! And simply adores you. JUST LIKE YOU ARE!' her mom talked back.

Bronwyn straightened her back and looked her in the eyes.

'Don't get him wrong mother, he must have had a million girls on that tour. We are just friends nothing more. I can't believe that after all these years you still think that he has a thing for me!'

In the middle of ironing some laundry, her mother dropped everything and walked up to Bronwyn.

'Watch your mouth little miss I Know Everything Better! You are completely wrong! You just ignore his actions of adoration for you! And don't think that I don't know about Lennon.
I admit, he is a handsome guy, but you have to know that he is off-limits for you!'

Bronwyn's cheeks were getting pretty red as she answered her mother: 'Oh please, what soda did you drink? First you hallucinate about Paul and me and now you think I like John? And for a matter of fact, if I did like John, then he wouldn't be off-limits!'

Right at that moment, the bell rang.
Bronwyn stormed to the entrance as a mad person.
Without trying to come over as cool, she opened the door. Paul was the first guy in line.
He hugged Bronwyn firmly and lifted her in the air.

'Oh god I missed you so bad Wyn!' he almost moaned.

His warm breath on her neck tickled but felt great.
Bronwyn kissed him on his cheek, which made his face turn red like a tomato.

'What a great way to welcome your brother by kissing his best friend!', joked George.

He grabbed her by the waist and kissed her forehead.

'I didn't kiss him!', Bronwyn said forcefully.
George winked: 'Yeah yeah, sure you didn't.'
Paul's disappointed face said everything you need to know.

'Mom, don't cry I'm home now.'

Ringo seemed to be the last one to come in.

'Where is John?' Bronwyn asked.
