The mysterious man
[Lucy's POV]
I felt the warm sun seeping through my curtains and onto my face.I opened my eyes and I immediately got blinded by the sunlight, "Oh shit!" I gasp out. "That is so bright.." I stretch my body and whilst I do that I realise that my yawning sounds like a dying T'rex that didn't go through puberty yet but their voice is naturally high anyway so it just sounds like a dying mouse as well. As I'm thinking about this I start coughing and laughing at the same time because I thought It was really funny that pterodactyls could literally be dragons because they're reptiles and they fly...sounds pretty dragon-y to me.
[Third person]
Lucy gets out bed stretching her arms above her head, her vest rising up and showing her stomach.
[Time skip of her showering and all that stuff and also changing into this outfit]
[Third person]
Lucy left her house and walked around for a bit just looking at things that looked like but she wasn't actually going to buy something and she also just wasn't in the mood to go to the guild because she didn't want to end up going home with a bruise on her back. She wasn't looking straight(because she was admiring the scenery around her) and just so happened to bump into a man that was wearing a black cloak that was covering his entire body except for his chin. Lucy fell back on her butt with an 'oof'.
"Sorry about that." she heard a soft but very masculine voice say. She looked up and saw two golden eyes staring back at her. She lost her breath as she saw the rest of his handsome face and noticed his chiselled jaw that could literally slice the strongest metal on earth.
"Uh—no-no it's fine, it was my mistake, I wasn't looking where I was going.." She noticed that his hand was out offering her to help her up, she took it and noticed that his hand was weirdly soft and since she is very nosy she couldn't help but open her mouth.
"Oh wow..your hands are so soft it feels so unnatural..not that your hands shouldn't be allowed to be soft—that's not what i'm saying it's just I didn't expect a guy like you—not saying you're a bad kind of guy—to have soft hands because you seem like a hard..working.....man..." her voice goes quieter at the end. As she is worrying in her head that she offended the mysterious man she gets pulled out by a low humoured chuckle. She looks up and realises that it was him laughing at her with his right hand covering his mouth trying to stifle his laughter.
"It's fine don't worry about it, no offence taken." he softly says to her with a kind smile. "Thank you for not like punching me or something, I don't know what I would've done.." she says and adds and awkward laugh at the end.
"Well I have to go now sweetheart but I hope to see you again soon." he says with a twinkle in his eyes. "Yeah same...that would be uhh...amazing—I mean not amazing but not like bad because you seem like a nice guy—"
"You're cute when you ramble." he says whilst placing his hand on top her head and leaning his face down as he was significantly taller than her. "See you later darling." he says as he walks away. Lucy seems to be caught in a trance but before he can get too far she turns around and yells after him, "Wait! what's your name?" as she says this he turns around and grins.
"Don't worry about my name now, you'll find out the next time we meet."
She is confused about this and thinks about what he said but before she can ask him what he meant he's already gone.."What did he mean 'next time we meet'?"
A/N: Igneel is around the same age as Lucy, Igneel and Natsu have met before but they had more of a brotherly relationship rather than father and son in the actual anime because it would be kinda weird falling in love with your best friend's foster father...
