Today's the day. My grandfather should be here any minute to determine if I am ready to move to phase two of my training. Noah has been studying to try and catch up but he still has his apprenticeship to worry about and it's slowing him down. I am really not looking forward to this! Suck it up buttercup! It's gonna be a long day!If I pass today I move on to the physical part of my training. I have to beef up and become physically strong to help lead the pack, then after that I have to meet everyone. And I mean EVERYONE. Our sub leaders, our law enforcement (which I know majority of thanks to my brother), our providers (the ones who work on the outskirts farming and fishing to help provide for our town).

I've heard rumors from the humans that we're a cult. It takes everything in me not to laugh and tell them if they only knew. We aren't a cult but we do run most of this town. We supple the needs the humans have and we try and protect them. Sometimes it works, sometimes we end up being hunted. It just depends on what happens.

My mother has decided to move early and is leaving today. Shadow is going with her but you can tell he doesn't want to. It breaks my heart but I can't raise him, my only regret is my Grandparents will be. My mother has been pretty useless, she mainly makes plans to travel and pretends Shadow doesn't exist. I love her I do, but we all have a part to play and hers has become to train me in the things I wont learn from books and working out, but she's never around. She's running off to Australia to spend time with Shelia in two weeks and in that time I will be babysitting Shadow while she's gone. We'll be on spring break and I'll have plenty of time to spend with him.

I can hear it before I see it, my grandfathers Bentley pulls up in the drive. I open the door to greet him and he walks right past me. Okay, time to step up or shut up! "Excuse me! Is that how you greet your Luna?!" I slightly raise my voice, he turns to look at me and begins clapping his hands slowly. "Very good my girl. You commanded my attention and asserted your dominance all in one sentence. You have been reading up. Now come with me into the Great Dinning room we must talk."

I lead the way into the dinning room and take my seat at the head of the table. My grandfather continues to smile as I fold my hands in front of me. The next two hours go by slowly as he asks me different situations and how I should handle them. When he finally stands to leave I look him square in the eye before announcing my news. "I have found my mate. His name is Noah Reeds." I grandfather eyes me a moment before speaking. "I must meet him at once." And with that I lead him to the library to find Noah.

When we find Noah at a far back table his face is dark red and he's trying to control his temper as Michelle begs him to leave me. Upon seeing me arrive she averts her eyes and slowly walks away. I can feel my grandfather's eyes on me but I refuse to acknowledge him. Noah calms himself down and turns to us bowing at my grandfather and I sigh pretty loudly. "He's new to this." I say more to myself then to anyone and my grandfather chuckles. "Noah, this is my grandfather Alester. Grandfather this is Noah." They shake hands and it's clear Grandfather is sizing him up. Noah is very tall with broad shoulders, his normally messy hair is semi arranged today and he's dressed in kakis and a button down green shirt. He did try and impress grandfather! I smile at him. I'm very impressed with how my mate cleans up.

You're Alpha now, no more bowing.

That is going to take some getting used to! My own mother bowed when I walked into the roomthis morning and greeted me as "Sir" I don't know if I'm okay with that.

My smile widens as he says that.

I guess we won't be formal rulers now will we?

He chuckles a little.
No we won't.

Normally when an Alpha finds his mate there's a banquet to present the new Luna to the pack, even though the roles are slightly reversed my Grandfather is is still wanting to uphold tradition and present Noah to the pack as Alpha. I'm not gonna lie I'm pretty excited about it. I love the idea of huge ball gowns and formal greetings and the ballroom actually being used for a ball instead of it being used for children's parties. The last time we used the ballroom was when Shadow was born to bring the new prince into the pack.
