Ch. 11

Piper's POV

"Wait a second. You're Silena? As in Silena Beauregard?" I asked, completely confused.

"What?" A thick, accented voice came from the doorway. I looked up. The figure in the door frame looked about 20-22. He had piercing teal eyes, unlike Percy's striking sea-green. He had tousled chocolate hair like Biana's but slightly different that wasn't really describable. "Biana, who are these people? And how are they floating?"

He looked genuinely concerned.

"Uhhh..." Biana cursed under her breath in a language that sounded like Latin. I couldn't really understand her because, even though my boyfriend was a son of Jupiter and therefore speaks Latin, and not Greek, I just couldn't learn it. My mind would always wander off when Jason would try to teach me. The only languages I could speak and understand were English, Greek, and French. I never really learned French. It came easily to me because French is the language of love, according to my mother.

Don't get me started on my mother.

Biana threw a silvery powder towards the boy. His eyes fluttered closed and he fell to the ground. "What?" I said looking at my acquaintance for an answer. Instead Leo answered. When he started talking I nearly jumped out of my sneakers. I had forgotten he was there.

"Shut up, Valdez," She barked, "I'm already mad about you messing around with my bow."

"I fixed it! The string was too tight and it reeked of demigod! A monster could've come after you!"

"My bow was perfectly fine! I like the string taut and I had just used it!"

They continued to argue until the girl next to Thalia, who I assumed was Chiara, got really mad and roared at them to shut up. Then all three of them began to argue. I smiled and turned toward Artemis' lieutenant. Thalia and I shared a look of total exasperation.

Then a tall, rather handsome guy snuck up behind Leo. We tried to warn him but the guy conked him on the head with a, wait a club? Why did he have a club? Why are grown men carrying around clubs? Who is this guy? Where was Leo anyway?

Biana quickly stamped out the flickering rainbow before the tall man could see her. She had a look on her face, as if she was scared. She had looked fearfully at the man when he got up behind Leo.
