Dear Fatima, first of all, happy birthday! I hope that you have the best day ever and that all of your wishes come true, especially the ones that seem the most extravagant and impossible! I don't believe in magic, but I believe in you and I think that you're an amazing person who can one day make all of her dreams come true! I know that we don't talk a lot (I think that it's because we're both Tauruses and two Tauruses aren't really supposed to get along - that would be like a rock befriending another stubborn rock), so I'll use this as my chance to express how much I admire you as a writer.
I still remember when I first stumbled across your account and immediately fell in love with your writing. Your try to do something different and special with every book. You present characters that are imperfect in the realest ways, you don't shy away from writing about the sadder parts of life, your words perfectly convey raw human emotions and capture the essence of feelings like pain, longing and love. Reading books like 'Solace', 'Letters for you', 'A cherished song' and 'Wait for me', really helped me understand myself better as a human and I'm sure that they did the same thing for your other readers as well. I really like how instead of writing perfect stories about perfect people, you write things that are difficult to deal with and sad to experience and painful and real.
You are a true gem and you deserve so much appreciation for what you do. Every one of your ideas is new, different and special. Honestly, you really inspire me to keep trying to be a better writer. I remember how just when I was feeling unsure about my own books, you posted 'The last dance' and 'A half shadow' and unknowingly reminded me that it's important to stay true to who you are and write what you really want to write, even if it's different and you don't know how others will accept it. So thank you for that. Knowing you made me into a better person as well. But I see suffering on the pages and I wonder, how can someone understand pain so well? Did they experience the same suffering themselves? Is that how they know how to write about it so well now? I hope not, but if that's true, I want you to know that you're not alone.
