As Charlotte was dancing around with Fred Vaghun when Laurie decided to make his appearance, but totally drunk.

'Typical Laurie.' Charlotte thought as he spotted her and started walking towards her.

"Laurie," She said frowning at his drunk appearance.

"Charlotte," he said taking another sip of his drink.

"I waited and hour for you at the hotel and hours for you here." She said crossing her arms as his eyes looked over her.

"I feel caught." He says as Charlotte rolled her eyes and walks away form him.

"Charlotte, please." He jokingly pleads following her.

"Do you want to know how I honestly think of you?" Charlotte says stopping in the middle of the dance floor while everyone moves around them.

"Please do." Laurie says.

"I despise you, because when every chance there is for good, useful and happy, you're faulty lazy, and miserable!" Charlotte practically yelled causing Laurie to stop dead in his tracks.

"Oh how interesting." Laurie said as Charlotte sighed.

"Selfish people do like to talk about themselves." Charlotte said as Laurie grabbed her wrist.

"Am I selfish?" Laurie sarcastically asked.

"Yes, very selfish with your money, talent, beauty, health.." Charlotte said before Laurie cut her off.

"Beauty?" Laurie joked, yet again as Charlotte glared at him.

"Ah like that, you old vanity, with all these good things to enjoy, you can find nothing to do but dawdle." Charlotte says as he drunkenly put his hand over hers, the hand in which held the ring she had gave him.

"I'll be good for you, Saint Charlotte!" Laurie teases as she squints angrily at him.

"Aren't you ashamed of a hand like that?" She asks as he shakes his head no. "It looks like it's never done a day of work in it's like, and that ring is ridiculous." She says as he makes a face.

"You gave me the ring." Laurie says.

"I gave you the ring when we we're children Laurie! I feel sorry for you, I really do. I just wish you would bear it better." Charlotte said as Laurie quickly fired back at her.

"You don't have to feel sorry for me, Charlotte. You'll feel the same one day."

"No, I'd be respected if I couldn't be loved." Charlotte says almost in tears.

"And what work have you done lately? Oh great artiste, or have you been to busy imagining how you'll spend Fred Vaughn's fortune? Fred Vaughn ladies and gentlemen!" Laurie said gesturing to Fred as Charlotte look horrified.

"I'm so sorry Fred." Charlotte says taking Fred arm and walking away from the drunk Laurie, leaving him all alone on the dance floor, not once turning back.

"Merry Christmas" Jo yells running down the stairs where everyone else was decorating the rest of the house.

"Jo we've been up for hours! What have you been writing?" Meg asks as Jo drops the script on the ottoman.

"I got carried away with our delicious revenge play last night." Jo said as Amy spoke up.

"No poison it's Christmas, and it's won't be Christmas without and presents." Amy said crossing her arms in disappointment.
