Lucuis walked back across the courtyard and out of my sight. He was holding up the experiment. The King had taken his leave many a time ago and as I hung from the glass circle my mind started to wander. Sighing, I looked around. The castle was made from bone and glass. I shivered as the thought of the humans and alines being crushed to make this ran through my mind. There was some old building parts from various establishments torn apart decades ago. There was an old school sign crushed into a corner and behind is were tiny skulls and glass shards to create a small step.
Turning away I glared at the darkening sky. 'I'm so stupid.' I whispered.

'What do you mean "don't use magic"?' Jaymes coughed.
'Those aren't exactly the right words but we need a way to get closer. So far,' Nathaniel said crossing his arms and closing his eyes to concentrate, 'Normal weaponry can harm him. So if we can use that against him a shock of some sort maybe, that will disturb his state. Because the sustance that he used is foreign, there will be a tipping point on how far he can go. So if we can tip that balance to work in our favour we can charge in a destroy him.'Nathaniel opened his eyes, they swelled with pride, 'All we need to do if try and tip it. That's all.'
'Easier said than done.' Aaron said pulling out a cigarette.
An eerie silence fell over them.
'Nathaniel,' Aaron spoke up again, 'Maybe find out where Emilie is. If she is with Guy, then that might give us some indication on what we have to do.'
'I can try but is that necessary?' He queered looking over at his friend.
Aaron shrugged and let out a small puff of smoke, 'If he says something of importance in the near future, that may help us out back here and your plan will solidify quickly.'
Nathaniel nodded in agreement. 'I'll be back.' Dipping his head, he closed his eyes once more and he felt his body drop. Unalarmed he slowly fell into darkness until it was white. He opened his eyes and saw he was in a large room. Along each side were thousands of doors leading one way and back the other. Everything was pure white and voices filled the air. His, Aaron's, Guy's and everyone he's ever talked to or will talk to. Rubbing the side of his head he walked down the long corridor until he finally reached an end. The door was of regular size, a gold handle sparkled against the haze and when he touched the handle, it was hot.
Jumping back in surprise, he shook his hand and wiped it on his thigh. Trying again he pushed the door open and he fell onto grey stones. Looking up he saw a plain sky and jutting out of the periferals were turrets taller than the Empire State Building. Pushing himself up he looked around once more. He found himself in a courtyard. Guards marched everywhere and no one seemed to notice him. Turning on his heel he saw a large tower in the center and at the top, Emilie, was in a circle. There was a figure talking and she screamed back. Teh figure vanished and soon appeared near him. Nathaniel's breath was cut off as he watched as Guy walked out and into an open door.
Quickly following, Nathaniel trailed Guy until they stopped at a room. Guy walked in and Nathaniel jumped in before the door closed. Guy swayed and landed in a chair. His silver locks fell around his face as he bent down to grab a box off the floor. Gently opening the box, he pulled out a long needle and in the container was a orangy, yellow liquid. He lifted his arm until his robe fell down past his elbow. Nathaniel watched as Guy stabbed the needle into the hinge between his forearm and upper arm. Guy cried out and pulled the needle out, a tail of blood trickled out of the hole in his arm.
Putting the box on a dirty dresser he filled up a small cup with a drink Nathaniel was not farmiliar with and took a long swig. Placing the cup down, he looked past Natahniel and too the door, 'I know you are there. Come forth.' He croaked.
