"No Justice! No peace!
No justice!
No peace!
Are black men matter, Are black women and children matter!" I Shouted leading the way of hundreds of people.Next thing you know bullets fire.
And I'm hit.
8:00 am:
I woke up from my dream and fell out of bed.
"You okay sis?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"You want to go for a walk today I'm bored."
"How are you bored and we just woke up?"
"Shut up yes or no Yea or Nay."
"Yes, Nay." He threw a pillow at me.
"Stop being difficult."
"Stop being ruff."
"It was just a pillow Trin, Hurry up and get ready for our walk."
"Alright, Paris here I come," I said rolling my eyes. Then I wondered why the hell was he standing over me when I fell.
"Paris! Stop being weird watching me In my damn sleep." I yelled I heard him open the fridge.
"I love you, Sorry get ready!"
I got up and pulled out something comfortable to wear. I then put on a nice shower. Finally some nice hot water. After my shower, I changed and did my face and hair routine.
"Dang, you take forever! Why you take two showers?" He said laughing.
"Because, your ass always use up the hot water, at night and we been over this, I sweat too much in my sleep and at least water is free here."
"True cause you would run up the bill." He said sarcastic and playfully rolling his eyes.
"Whatever hurry up." I mocked him.
We walked out of the house and he jogged downstairs.
"Arent you just happy we finally get a day off?" He said spinning around. I smiled and nodded.
"Yes, so what are we doing today just walking? Mr. Bored."
"Its a surprise. And hold up, your skin is glowing in this light!" He took a picture of me. "Not you got the curls popin too."
My brother, always my biggest supporter, he's my walking confidence. Never have I went a day sad with him. It's always smiles and laughter.
"Shut up I look basic."
"Well dang, if basic look that good I want to be basic too."
"Hush. Paris, " I said with a wide smile.
We walked down the streets of our broken city, three black kids were murdered by the police all in just three weeks.
