"Well have a vote."
"And the right decision better be made."
Friday 11:00am
I was in the spot we're I found my brother answering questions for news reporters another locals.
Hayden has been there though after what Mike talked to me about I kinda side eyed him."They put the men who killed your brother behind bars how did that make you feel?"
I just wanted wipe the sly look of the man's face how the hell would you feel in my shoes. I hate answering questions when the answer is there.
"Behind bars, for me isn't enough for Paris, and it is so much more than Paris. My brother wasn't the only black kid who's life was taken in the hands of our supposed protectors."
"But the man who shot him did get death row."
Okay and...
"He didn't get life without parole! They want to have another hearing when all the facts we're there they turned my brother's case to out the black gang members who helped dispose of his body and I only ask why is the one who committed the murder less guilty than the one who accomplice to it?
He's in his "death bed" smiling knowing he's going to be home soon and remain untouched!
The only reason I'm not more pissed than I am is that
my brother's death woke so many up. So far how iv been hearing it's changed how people talk about other people's life decisions on loving the same sex and just the LGBT community Itself. ""So.."
So?
Can I punch him now, he's starting to piss me off."So, my brother's death Was not in vain he didn't get the justice I wanted but what this State needed."
People clapped and I heard a couple of Amens making myme calm down a bit.
"Okay, girl you're confusing me..."
Is he serious.
"For you to be a reporter you sure are dumb reading in between the lines but to answer your question, for your "understanding".
I'm never going to be
"happy" about any of this, besides the people being more woke. I'm angry every day I go to sleep ,and wake up knowing Paris is never going to be here, they still have their families, when they took mine. And I am still fighting against the PD."He slowly backed away and another reporter got my art I nodded for him to go.
"Trinity is it true you are building a restaurant in your Brothers name?"
"Yes sir, and that's not all there is also a nonprofit in the works."
"Do you feel that justice was served?"
These people rely asking the same sh-
"Justice would be my brother alive right with me!"
I stepped down running to the car this was a bad idea I can't be strong I can't be happy ever again I need Paris!
Wednesday 2:30pm
"Baby you've been crying a lot lately I wish you'd talk to me."
Hayden said rubbing my back.
"If it was easy don't you think id be talking?!"
"Baby it's okay to talk."
"It's not though. He should be here he was my world and they took him, that man is alive it's not right!"
"Let it out."
"I'll never be okay Hayden its like as long as that man's alive he's winning."
