Alex sighed. He and Ailani had spent the entire night digging up as much as they could on Terry Grey. They found nothing. Nada. Zilch. After a long sleepless, night Ailani showed Alex his new office: a 10ft X 17ft old room with charcoal walls and monstera leaf-pattern carpet. He had been given an old, beat up computer to "use". Alex caught himself slipping, just about to nod off in his office chair. He fought it for a minute, but gave in to the temptation of sleep.

Alex had been called in from Chicago. He was one of the top detectives in the city. He had just closed a case a few weeks ago dealing with the murder of a journalist from Los Angeles*.

Anyway, Alex had been called to Hawaii for this case. Since he was well known around the country, the Hawaii Police Force decided it would be a great idea for him to travel cross-country to solve this case. He hated being away from home, but the islands were starting to grow on him in the short time he's been here.

Alex also liked being here. For one, the weather in Chicago had been below average all winter, and Hawaii was a getaway from subzero high-temperatures. Alex seemed to like Ailani. He was the kind of guy that got stuff done. The problem was his choice of wardrobe. Alex didn't understand why Ailani wore a bright orange-and-green flowered shirt. He wasn't sure he'd ever get that. Other than that, he seemed okay.

Alex was woken by his desk phone ringing. He looked around for a second, still feeling a bit groggy after waking up, but looked towards the ringing. He wasn't sure to pick it up, but the caller ID read GREENE, AILANI. Alex answered.
"Hey", Alex said groggily.

"We need you downstairs. We found something on Terry."
