Christian.....

I tun through the woods. The tress that console me during the day, only haunt my every mover. Constantly treating to trip me. Their dark shadows haunt my every move. i hear his movements now. They are close to me. i hear his deep breathing. i feel his nose inhaling my scent. Moving through the different smells. Some of fear, Some of excitement.

I run into a clearing. Surrounded by the light of the full moon i turn around and see his shadow emerging from the concealing darkness of the trees. His black fur and eyes send shivers of fear down my spine. He lets out a howl. Its deep, rumbling sound reverberates with in me. I am in awe. his power and might infatuate me. i take a step forward.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

I shoot up throwing the covers of my bed in all direction. Rubbing my head i ask myself the question that has become my morning ritual over the past two weeks.

"Why do i keep having this dream?"

"Christian honey: my mother, Mary, shouted from the kitchen, "you don't want to be late on the first day of your senior year!!!"

My feet slowly made their way to the floor, and soon found their way to the kitchen. The odor of fresh pancakes filled my nose. my mouth instantly watered and stomach growled. My mom placed a full plate on the table and a mug of coffee, a cup of cream, in its vicinity.

The old, wooden table was cld under the bare skin of my elbows, but the pancakes were warm and fluffy. The sweet syrup incite my taste buds, and the odor of the butter filled my nose with pleasure. Just then mother started her traditional morning conversation.

"How did you sleep honey?"

"Pretty well. how about you?"

"I kept having the strangest dream, I kept hearing a wolf howl and a vision of the full moon"

I wanted to tell her about the recurring dreams, but i knew she would keep pressing, and eventually she will ask he horrid question that i was not yet ready to deal with. So i quietly ate my breakfast and went to take a shower and prepare for the first day back in hell.

*****

"Hey crazy" Jenny screamed from my driveway as she swung open the passenger seat motioning me to get in. Jenny was my best friend. I could always come to her of anything. e had been together since preschool, and i knew she would always be with me.

"SUP SIS!" She said mocking me. She was the only one who knew my secret and she didn't give a shit about my love for the male species. she found it hilarious and said she always wanted a sister.

"I told you not to call me that" i said with a stern look on my face "I'm not a girl."

"To me you are. Your my loving sister" She said jokingly, reaching over to hug me.

"Are you ready for hell?"

"fuck no"

"I'm just glad that this is the last year of our incarceration."

"you got that right"

We continued our small talk as we drove the oh so familiar route to the hell that was Jefferson High. The parking lot was full as usual.
