Chapter 6

One Month Later
Madison's POV
It's been a month since Daniel and I started "dating", the publicity we've been getting has been going great but we haven't been hanging out as much because we're in quarantine. Our relationship was going well and we both seemed to get a lot of attention from social media which was really good for publicity.

Today the isolation rules has been eased and it's going to be Corey's 25th birthday tomorrow, so I'm pretty excited to go hang with them. They all welcomed me with open arms into their friend group and it was really nice of them to do so.

I decided to call Daniel to check in for our plans for tomorrow.
Daniel: Hey Mads, what's up?
Madison: Am I still invited for Corey's birthday?
Daniel: My fake girlfriend is invited to everything. It's great for publicity.
Madison: Okay see you tomorrow fake boyfriend.
Daniel: Ahah see you tomorrow Mads.

I spent the rest of my day just taking care of myself and watching some Netflix after ordering takeout. 

The Next Day
I woke up this morning to Corey's birthday posts on my timeline and decided to send him a quick text.
Madison: Happy 25th Birthday rockstar. You're a true legend and I love you so much. Thanks for welcoming me with open arms, you are a true friend.  ❤️❤️
Corey: Thank you so much Mads. I love you so much, we were literally made to be friends. Wish we met earlier than only over a month.
Madison: It seriously feels like we've been friends for years. Words can't express what this friendship means to me. Can't wait to see you and celebrate our post-quarantine mini party.
Corey: Counting the minutes till you get here queen 🤍

I smiled down to my phone before putting it down. It's crazy how Corey and I have gotten so close over the time span of only two months, I really hope that we keep the friendship we have no matter what happens between Daniel and I.

Five Hours Later
It's currently 2pm and Daniel was going to come and pick me up for Corey's small party. Only some of Corey's close friends were going to be there likd, Daniel Silva, David and Me.

I finished getting ready and held onto Corey's present before heading to Daniel's Car. "Hey Daniel, how are we doing today?" I asked right after entering his car. "I'm great, thanks for asking. Everyone's already at the party, probably already started drinking." Daniel said, making small talk as he drove. "Interesting. I vote on being designated driver tonight, I'm not feeling any alcohol." I said, making Daniel chuckle. "I'm not drinking much either but I'm pretty sure Corey and Daniel Silva are going out for drinks anyways. JC is going to be filming a whole lot so we're just having a chill time."

We got to the C4 house where Corey, JC, Chelsea and Crawford lived. It was almost dark and everyone was already inside playing beer pong and the party was in full swing. "Hey guys, good to finally see you two again" Chelsea said as she hugged both Daniel and I. "I know, I've missed you guys" I said and we started making small talk.

I went over to Corey after a little bit and hugged him after giving him his birthday present. "Happy birthday Corey, can't believe your already 25." I said making Corey reply "I'm getting old aren't I. Ahah!" He seemed like he was having the time of his life, he had no regrets and I loved that so much about him. We both talked a little more and then JC declared that he was going to go film, so everyone else decided to quite down and just have some small talk.

Hours Later
"Hey Corey, want to get a ride on my new whip and go get some drinks?" I heard Daniel Silva yell out and before I could go see the commotion, they were both out the door. "Are you turning up tonight?" Oscar asked as he stopped playing and Crawford just ran out the door. "I thought I was going to be able to stop them, they shouldn't really be getting drunk outside during quarantine and Daniel shouldn't be driving Corey back let alone even drive now at his drunk state" Crawford said when we all went outside. "He probably knows what he's doing. They shouldn't be stupid enough to drink excessively anyways." I said referring to Daniel Silva and Corey in hope that everything will be okay in the end. Everyone else agreed with me and went back inside to just relax a little despite what might happen soon.

Two Hours Later
Just as everyone sat down after having  dinner we heard a car zoom past the driveway and soon heard a loud crash and saw the stop sign fall down. JC was already outside because he came back from filming to do Corey's birthday livestream, Crawford left his food and Chelsea followed JC to see what happened and a shade of horror went through their faces as they yelled "COREY!!!"

Daniel's POV
Everyone ran outside as soon as we heard Corey's name. Christian saw that Daniel Silva was trying to leave the scene and tackled him to the ground for him to face his mistakes. Oscar and JC both aimlessly helped me pull Corey out of the car. As soon as Corey was out, I tried my best to comfort him along with the others and helped him when he struggled. "Corey, you're going to make it brother" Crawford said as tears streamed down his pale face. "We won't survive without you Corey, I love you." David said as everyone started to cry.

I held onto Corey's hand while Daniel Silva was being arrested for murder and everyone else was aimlessly trying to talk to the police when the ambulance arrived. Chelsea and Madison was currently inside still trying to process everything. I wasn't able to leave Corey's side, he's my best friend and literally means the world to me. "You're going to make it bud, I know you can. You're very strong and I can't imagine LA without you." I said with heavy drops of tears streaming down my face.

Corey took huge coughs and wasn't able to get into the ambulance due to how weak and fragile he was. I clutched onto his firm hand and watched him take his last breath. "I love you Corey" I heard everyone say around me and slowly watched him pass away.

I will miss you my friend, I'll remember all the memories. You have gone too soon from this world.

Madison's POV
COREY LA BARRIE, I'll never forget you.

Everyone decided to stay the night and comfort each other due to our tragic loss. Nobody deserved to watch this amazing man die right before our eyes. Everyone was in so much shock, so we just stayed silent and just knew that we had to all come together no matter how silent we stayed. I wasn't able to stop crying that night, I don't think I'll ever be able to stop, nor if anyone will be able to stop. Corey will forever be in my heart no matter how long it takes for me to process everything.

Hey loves, hope everyone's feeling okay in these tough times. This was a very emotional chapter to write about and I decided to change my further plans for this story due to recent events for more depth in the story. I didn't try to make everything too visual and just based it off true events instead of dramatising everything since I wasn't there. Stay happy and keep reading loves. 💕💙
