So the votes were very decided on these two, and I said I would publish two, so thanks for making it easy! Here ya go!1. Sorcerer Prince
It seemed like a wonderful idea at the time. Pete's eldest brother, Vilion, got hybrid ranks and numbers so the three of them could live in the Sorcerer kingdom without fearing the guards. Matt never knew the punishment for having fake identities was so dire.
However long a fugitive lived under fake documents, that was how long they would be put in jail. The consequences become very harsh extremely quickly. It's so bad now because Matt, Choco, and Pete lived a lifetime under those fake documents.
After Matt was freed from his overseer, he never thought much about what being half robotic would really mean. He was just happy to live his life with the others. Later when it became noticeable, Matt could never figure out exactly when his clock stopped. It had to have been when they were still in the lab. Of course he had aged and gotten older since he was brought to the lab at five, but after he became an adult, he just stopped changing.
Matt still tried to look past it and live in the present. He got to watch Choco loose his insecurity and propose to a girl that he loved. Matt got to see Pete grow up with all his siblings around him, and become one of the first builders of the solar lights that would become so popular in the Sorcerer kingdom. He taught Choco's daughter how to read. He carved all seven of the gravestones for Pete and his siblings.
Yes, Matt saw it all. He was still thankful for being able to laugh and morn, but the passing of time weighed heavily on his heart. He mostly dedicated his time to the grandchildren of his dearest friends. He was happy, even with the long years.
When some old documents were discovered as fakes, officials didn't expect to actually find any of the three alive. They just went to the big three story manor to fine the family for a small fee. Matt had to calm down 12 crying children when they found him there. He wouldn't put any of them in danger by refusing to leave with the guards. They had finally caught up from when he broke their spears on the docks. He could easily escape if he wanted, but he had already lived a long life without justice.
This was the time of the immortal Sorcerer King, with a dark shadow at his side. He felt threatened by this other long-living monstrosity, and sentenced Matt to three life sentences in the darkest part of the castle dungeons.
Matt's robotic half was still very much commanded by his own systems and protocols. After both his batteries were low, and there was no sign of sunlight, he was shut down. Only the rare flicker of torchlight kept his body from completely dying.
Decades passed. The Sorcerer King was defeated, the shadow was freed, and the king's descendent and pregnant wife took the throne. Matt's existence was now just a story.
Slowly, ever slowly, Matt became more aware as his batteries filled back up past a certain point. He was still incredibly weak, and could only look around in confusion. His arms are hanging from rusting chains on the wall and he's bent over on his knees.
Past the iron bars do his cell, a single lantern sits with a bright flame. It must have been there a while in order for Matt to reactivate. He's shocked to see the young boy sitting crossed legged and watching him. They can't be much older then six. He has big, brown eyes and a purple cloak that's much too big for him.
"Whoa..... you're awake!", the boy says, scooting closer to the bars and pressing his face against them. "What's your name? My name's Seto, and I'm going to be a sorcerer one day!".
