Welcome, Ishgarians, to Vol-II of Kama: Liberation. Take a seat and enjoy the ambience of the royal court.
I hope you all were thrilled and moved by Vol-I. If so, expect more emotional depth in this sequel. Here, we will not be fighting any villains. There is no Hamal the Second, there is no Aishan. At least for now, in this book. What we have are our own fears, self-doubts and confusion. We have mysteries, we have the wronged souls wishing for justice.
Indumala, our soon-to-be Queen of Aryavarta, will be arranging the puzzle pieces. She will, one by one, bring to light what we don't know. She will guide the lost while discovering her own potential.
Having said that, this book will be more like a heart-to-heart conversation. Fantasy may be a genre where things appear unreal and magical to such an extent that we are convinced it's impossible, but under the layers every event in this miraculous world is influenced by truth.
Our own inner demons are the worst. Often the universe gives us signs, but we so foolishly ignore them. Well, that is what Rudra does. Perhaps we too do it.
You might be thinking of yourself while reading the characters. You might be remembering certain people in your life. I would be glad if you do, because through stories we get to know ourselves again.
I have created this tale with much love. During certain moments of helplessness, when I was wondering if I should take up the dagger and harm myself like Rudra does, I remembered this story. I realised I am yet to finish it. I do not say this to invite sympathy. I am aware that like me, many are there, and everyone wishes to hold on to something. I say, we dare to dream. The indomitable human spirit!
I wish, just like Ishvara, we all get to find a new life after giving up on the same. I wish, just like Aryamna, we all find balance between our good and bad. I wish, just like Indumala, we get to complete a circle.
And, I wish, just like Rudra, we all find love and liberation.
