Alicia.

I bit my nails nervously. I was practically eating up my hand.

Two weeks to my wedding. Just two weeks.

Authur and his family are coming over to help with the preparations.

What am I going to do?

I paced up and down my room aimlessly.

How did this even happen?

I thought about everything and anything that could have caused this.

The party! I snapped in realisation.

Of course, it was the party.

But I can't seem to find any memory of it.

That can only lead to one thing.

I have to get back to Nevade..

"Alicia, Authur's family are here." Mom called from wherever she was.

I gulped in dread. Alicia, stay strong.

Don't panic, remember, you are with child.

I relaxed my breathing calming down.

It's okay. All you have to do is call off the wedding and from there this can be fixed.

I got out of my room, walked down the hallway to the stairs where I spotted them. All of them.

I strutted down the stairs with as much grace as I could muster.

To be honest, with as much courage as I could muster.

I got down and strutted up to them cursing as I did.

I gave off a warm smile.

If I wanted to stop this wedding.

Then the best person to speak to is................

I turned to look at Authur. He still looked as uninterested as before.

I really need to talk to him.

"We are so lucky to be having you as our daughter in law." His mom said smiling.

I nodded and smiled back.

"Yes, she would be perfect for your son." My mom gloated.

No, I wouldn't. Not when I'm going to be a mother of someone else's child.

I almost looked at Authur with pity. But seeing the look on his face, I knew there was something up.

"We should all have tea together" mom suggested.

They all agreed. No we can't have tea. I have to speak with Authur first.

"Mom, I want to speak with Authur first, you know get to know him." I said in between breaths.

"Alicia, you should know that we have..........." mom started scolding.

"She's right Melissa, the children should get to know each other." Authur's mom spoke.
